The San Diego Zoo’s Asian Passage habitat welcomed a “golden” addition this year—a female golden takin kid. Named Mei Ling (Mandarin for “beautiful antelope”), the kid is the first of the Budorcas taxicolor bedfordi takin subspecies born in the Western Hemisphere.
