HEALTH WALKER S RAISE £900 FOR NEWHAVE N LIFEBOAT

Seaford and Peacehaven Health Walkers have raised £900, and recently presented a cheque to members of Newhaven Lifeboat.

On Monday 3rd February, a cheque for £900 was presented to members of Newhaven Lifeboat. This large donation will pay for one lifeboat crew member’s kit. The money was raised by members of Seaford and Peacehaven Health Walkers, who participated in six charity health walks in 2019. More fundraising walks

will take place during 2020 – it’s a great way to keep fit, it’s very sociable and a brilliant way to see different parts of the town. The walks include long walks at a brisk pace and shorter walks for the less able, providing there are enough health walk leaders. Health walk leaders are also urgently needed and training is offered at Wave Leisure, Seaford. If you are interested in becoming a health walk leader, please go along to one of the weekly walks on Thursday mornings from 10am to 11am at the Salts Café, Marine Parade, Seaford on the first Thursday of the month or at the Downs Leisure Centre, Sutton Road on the second, third and forth Thursday of the month. The Health Walkers also meet on Mondays from 2pm to 3pm at the Peacehaven Meridian Sports Centre.
