Angela Findlay Fragments of Time

McALLISTER THOMAS Godalming

Curled up 30 x 30 cm

Front Cover: Stranger on an easel 76 x 76 cm

Foreword Angela's work reflects the idea that places, buildings and objects bear witness to, reveal and hold the memory of human stories omitted by history’s grander narrative. Her paintings and collages look at incidental domestic situations, so familiar yet usually deemed unworthy of attention. Everyday items and scenes become stolen glimpses into the shadows of private or personal lives and it is this inherent sense of tension that brings her thought provoking work alive. Angela Findlay studied at the University of West of England, Bristol and gained a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. She has exhibited widely both nationally and internationally.
