FIRE DRILL
STAFF TOWNHALL MEETING
The Club held its annual fire drill on 20 September attended by all its staff and a couple of members. Starting with an informative brief on fire and safety hazards, staff were subsequently given an opportunity to test their hands at putting out a huge bonfire! To keep staff abreast on changes following the Annual General Meeting, GM Philip Tan met the staff in an informative Townhall Meeting on 25 August. Staff were updated on the new Management Committee, our community engagement efforts as well as our customer service improvement programme. GM additionally thanked all staff for their commitment in helping to curb costs and improve the club’s financial performance. This was the second Townhall Meeting for this year, and it is understood that staff appreciated the chance to likewise share their ||

AN UNFORGETTABLE NIGHT OF SHARING AND CARING Enjoying a Seletar moment
Close to 200 of our less fortunate friends from Nee Soon GRC joined us for dinner on Friday 16 September 2016 for the Seletar Country Club Mercedes-Benz Annual Charity. Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law, Mr K. Shanmugam, graced the evening as Guest of Honour, along with special guests Er Dr Lee Bee Wah and AP Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim. Escorted by our lady volunteers and regaled by our very own Jennifer Schoon and the Seletar Band, our friends had an unforgettable night. One such moment must surely be when a senior gingerly went up to stage and sang to great applause, as others swayed and danced with our lady members. It was a wild party on the lawn as we marked our 10th Oktoberfest on Saturday 24 September with the Swiss Alpines Lions Band. More than 150 turned up for the party as our Social and Sports Chairman Henry Seet led the event festivities with gusto. That was precisely what our Seletar league heroes did at the National Service Resort and Country Club (NSRCC) for the 10th leg of the SGA Interclub League. Although we lost narrowly to Raffles Country Club (6 points to 8 points), our players had a blast as they enjoyed the awesome camaraderie with the Raffles players.
