Lidt om Nuuk Nuuk betyder ”næsset” og grunden til dette stednavn er at byen ligger yderst på en stor halvø ved mundingen af det vidstrakte fjordsystem ”Nuup Kangerlua”.

Nuuk means ”the headland” and this is due to the location of the city. The city lies at the edge of a large peninsula at the mouth of the vast fjord system ”Nuup Kangerlua”.

Samtidig er Nuuk den ældste etableret by i Grønland. Den blev grundlagt i 1728 af missionæren Hans Egede efter at han havde forladt sin første bosættelse ved ”Håbets Ø”. Hans Egede’s hus står stadig den dag i dag, på det selv samme sted hvor han i sin tid opførte det, i det idylliske område ved den gamle bydel i kolonihavnen. Huset bliver i dag benyttet af Grønland’s Selvstyre til repræsentative formål.

Nuuk is also the oldest established city in Greenland. It was founded in 1728 by the missionary Hans Egede after he had left his first settlement at the ”Island of Hope” Hans Egede’s house still stands, to this day, at the very same spot where he built it, in the idyllic area near the old town in the colonial harbor. The house is now used by the Greenland Government for representative purposes.

In Nuuk you’ll find a well-connected road network with bus connections to all districts - with 3 regular bus services from early morning to late evening. With several companies in the city, there are also good opportunities to catch a taxi.

Er man mere til brug af to hjul eller to ben, så findes der ligeledes gode cykel- og gå-stier. Selv snescootere har deres egne afmærkede vinterspor.

If you prefer to use two wheels or two legs, there is also good cycling and walking paths. While snowmobiles have their own marked winter trails.

I Nuuks naturskønne bagland findes flere afmærkede vandreruter, for de som ønsker at undslippe byen i nogle timer.

In Nuuk’s scenic backcountry there are several marked trails for those who want to escape the city for a few hours.

Til søs er der både mulighed for at benytte en af byens mange bådchartre, samt kystskibet Arctic Umiaq Line. Sidstnævnte besejler Nuuk 2 gange om ugen, hvor det enten tager passagerer med enten Nord- eller Sydgrønland. Sidst, men ikke mindst, findes der daglige afgange/ankomster via lufthavnen i Nuuk, som beflyves af hhv. Air Greenland og Air Iceland. Herfra er der flyforbindelser til/fra andre byer i Grønland, samt direkte forbindelse til/fra Island.

At sea, there is both the opportunity to use one of the many boatcharters as well as the coastal ship Arctic Umiaq Line. The latter ports at Nuuk 2 times a week, where it takes passengers to either North or South Greenland. Finally, there are daily departures / arrivals through the airport in Nuuk, which operated respectively. Air Greenland and Air Iceland. From here there are flights to / from other cities in Greenland, as well as direct connections to / from Iceland

Gæster bor i et lokalt hjem, hvor de får deres eget værelse i et rigtigt grønlandsk hjem. Dette bliver en oplevelse i sig selv. Under opholdet i Nuuk har man mulighed for at deltage i hhv. bådture, vandringer og fisketure. Ingen alt for svære ture. Vandreturen er 4-5 timer lang, bådturene 4-7 timer, fisketuren 4-5 timer.

Denne pakketur starter med udrejse fra Reykjavik, hvorefter man bliver hentet i Nuuk lufthavn og ud på en guidet by rundtur, med en efterfølgende check-in ved den lokale B&B vært. The guests will be staying in a local home, where one will have their own room in a real Greenlandic home. This is an experience in itself. During the stay in Nuuk one will have the possibility to participate in, for example boating, hiking and fishing tours. None too difficult. The hike takes about 4-5 hours, the typical boat tours takes around 4-7 hours and fishing trip around 4-5 hours.

5 days in Nuuk This package tour starts with departure from Reykjavik. Guests will be picked up opon arrival to Nuuk Airport and out on a guided city tour, hereafter followed with a check-in at the local B&B host. The rest of the day, and the next afternoon free at your own disposal, for example, the time can be used to explore the old town part, which is also known as the Colonial Harbor. The National Museum or the Art Museum is also worth a visit. In the afternoon, on day 2, one will go out on the historic boat trip to Kangeq & Hope Island. Late afternoon one will return back to Nuuk. The whole day 3 is free at your own disposal to explore Nuuk and its vicinity. A small hike on your own could be one of the possibilities. The majority of day 4 will be spent inside the Ice Fjord on a guided boat trip incl. lunch on board. After arriving back, the rest of the evening is at one’s own disposal. On day 5 the departure to Reykjavik will be around mid-afternoon.

Byrundtur i bus

City tour by bus

Turen starter ved havnen, hvor turisten vil mødes med guiden. Herefter går man samlet op til nærmeste offentlige busstoppested. Undervejs får man historien om havnen og dens tilhørende industri.

The tour begins at the harbor, where you will meet up with the guide. Then the group walks up the nearest public bus stop. Along the way you will get to hear the story of the harbor and its associated industries.

Man kører herefter med den offentlige bus, sammen med de lokale, rundt i Nuuk og dens til-hørende forstæder og hører her om dens udvikling gennem tiden. Man stiger af i Nuussuaq, hvor man tager ned til svømmehallen Malik (betyder ”bølge”). Herfra tager man endnu en bus videre til den nyeste forstad, Qinngorput.

Then you will take the public bus, along with the locals, around Nuuk and its related suburbs and hear about its evolution through time. You will step off the bus in Nuussuaq where you go down to the swimming pool Malik (meaning ”wave”). From there you will take another bus on to the newest suburb Qinngorput.

Efter en udstigning inde i bycentrum og en mindre byvandring, afsluttes turen i kulturhuset Katuaq’s café ”Café Tuaq”.

After disembarking the bus in the city center and a smaller tour, the tour ends in the cultural Katuaq’s café ”Café Tuaq”.

Your guided tour will take you past the city centre, shops, charming neighbourhoods and diverse architecture and will conclude at the Old Harbour where you will see the National Museum of Greenland. A long the route you will also see the Parliament and the City Hall. Accompanied by a guide, you will learn about Nuuk’s architecture, history and way of life as you travel around the city. Your time with the guide is a great opportunity to find out more about the culture, political opinions and day-to-day lives of the locals in Nuuk, so ask questions if you have them, as they are always welcome! You will pass the city-centre shop and finish at the Old Colonial Harbour, where you will find the National Museum of Greenland. You will also pass the architectural prize-winning swimming pool, the Nature Institute as well as the university. Ice fiord and inuit village Experience an amazing cruise deep into the Ice fiord. We sail as far as the ice conditions allow it, viewing the amazing ice floes, bird life and the turquoise sea. Enjoy your sandwich of Greenland specialties (smoked halibut, salmon, smoked meat etc.) and drinks (tea, coffee, juice) with a wonderful view over to the Bird-mountain where razorbills, seagulls and other sea-birds nest. If we are lucky, we might observe White-tailed Eagle in flight over the fjord as well as groups of Harp seals, which can be spotted among the ice floes. We go further to visit the abandoned settlement of Qoornoq lying ideally in the fjord. We land in the beautiful settlement where you have a chance to visit the charming and newly restored Qoornoq church before we head back to Nuuk.

Boat tour to ”Kangeq” This tour starts from Nuuk city and it takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to travel by boat to Kangeq. Along the way you might be lucky to see wildlife such as birds, seals and whales. Have your camera at the ready, as you never know when one might swoop in from above or boble up from under the waves! The abandoned settlement ”Kangeq” lies at the mouth of ”Nuup Kangerlua”. One of the best ways to take in the stunning scenery of Greenland is to view it at your leisure by boat and this is exactly what you will do on this tour. Unlike most of our other tours, this trip is not in the Nuuk Fiord but is south of Nuuk. Your adventure begins with an hour-long boat journey, during which you will travel through a truly breathtaking archipelago towards the abandoned settlement of Nuup Narsaa or Little Narsaq.

En af de bedste måder at nyde den fantastiske natur i Grønland er at se på en sejltur. I modsætning til de fleste af vores ture, så går denne tur ikke ind i Nuuk Fjorden, men lige syd for Nuuk. This small settlement south of the Nuuk Fiord is an abandoned settlement which lies deserted for most of the year. However, from June to October the settlement comes to life thanks to the exuberance of excited children who travel from Nuuk in order to take part in the settlement’s summer camp.

Denne lille bygd, lige syd for Nuuk Fjorden, er en forladt bygd der ligger ødet hen det meste af året. Men fra juni til oktober bliver bygden bragt til live igen og fyldt med en overflod af begejstrede børn, der rejser fra Nuuk for at deltage i sommerlejr.

In addition to nature’s wildlife marvels, on the return journey from Little Narsaq one will pass Akilia Island which contains some of the world’s oldest rock, dating to over three billion years old.

Atammik boat tour and multi-day stay Whenever you visit a place as a tourist, the chances are that you’ll find no shortage of tourist-designated areas and activities. Now there’s no denying that these can offer an entertaining way to pass the time on your trip but often they only present a very specific viewpoint of the location you are in – namely, the part that is catering to outsiders. If you really want to discover what a place is like, the best way to do so is to experience it as a local would. If this is the kind of genuine connection and understanding you are seeking, the Atammik tour offers first-hand experience over 3 days of daily life in a small Greenlandic settlement. During your stay you will discover a way of life that is probably vastly different from your own. Sermitsiaq and its waterfall The boat sails out and goes out and around Nuuk and you will be able to see the town from the sea. Thereafter the trip goes further into the fiord, through the ”Qoornoq” passage. From here there will be good chances of seeing whales. The boat sails around the island ”Sermitsiaq”, past the nearly vertical walls on the east side and onto the other side of the island where there is view of the top and the glacier. When the boat have arrived at the west side of Sermitsiaq it stops at the waterfall which is always a breathtaking sight. Then it’s home again to Nuuk still with the chance of a whale on the way back.

Deep sea fishing tour This tour offers 6 hours of ”relaxation” complete with a guide who will take you to fishing spots known to have a variety of fish such as Redfish, Cod, and even Salmon. When angling at sea, fishing depths typically vary from 300-1000 feet. All the tour boats have passed safety checks for seaworthiness carried out by the Danish Maritime Authority. Each boat also contains all the necessary safety and communications equipment which has also undergone stringent checks to ensure it is functioning properly. Not only can you enjoy a day at sea fishing. If you are lucky you might even spot humpback whales or other sea creatures such as Harp seals. Dybhavsfisketur Denne tur giver dig 6 timers komplet ”afslapning” med en guide, der vil tage dig til fiskesteder som har en række forskellige fisk som rødfisk, torsk, og endda laks. Angling tour Get ready to set sail as your guide will take you via open boat to different places near Nuuk where Arctic Char are known to frequent. These places make for some great fishing. You can fish for Arctic Char that weigh up to 5 to 6 kg, all within the most fantastic surroundings. Typically people fish for Arctic char at the mouths of rivers or at the boundary between rivers and lakes. As a rule, char are found where the concentration of food is greatest, the water is deep enough to cover their dorsal fins, and where the water is relatively still. Depending on how far into the fishing season you are, you may have to walk quite a long way upriver to find the best fishing spots. You can get so close to the fish that you may be able to catch them with your bare hands after a short lesson. Although we cannot guarantee the size and amount of your catch, nor how successful your trip will be, you can be sure that the experience will be one to treasure for the rest of your life. Duration:

Lystfiskeri tur Gør klar til at sætte sejl da din guide vil tage dig med åben båd til forskellige steder i nærheden af Nuuk, hvor fjeldørreder er kendt for at frekventere. Disse steder udgør nogle af de fantastiske steder for lystfiskeri. Du kan fiske efter fjeldørreder, der vejer op til 5 til 6 kg, alle inden for de mest fantastiske omgivelser. Typisk fisker folk efter fjeldørred ved udmunding af floder eller ved grænsen mellem floder og søer. Fisketure ved - nordsiden af Oriartorfik Lige nord for Oriartorfik, der ligger syd for storøen, er der et sted med masser af rødfisk og torsk. Båden sejler fra Nuuk direkte ind til det gode fiskested. Herfra fiskes der efter rødfisk og torsk i et par timer og derefter sejles der hjem til Nuuk igen. Der er næsten fangstgaranti, det eneste problem man kan støde på her er hvis der er for mange små torsk, så kan det være svært at komme ned til rødfiskene som holder til ved bunden. - mundingen af Qooqqut Lige før man drejer ind ved Qooqqut er der et vandfald hvor man kan fange både torsk og rødfisk. I 2011 blev der her fanget nogle af de største rødfisk på mellem 3 og 4 kg. Fishing at - the north side of Oriartorfik Just north of Oriartorfik, located south of Storøen, there is a place with plenty of redfish and cod. The boat sails from Nuuk directly to the good fishing spot. From there, there will be fished there for redfish and cod in a few hours and then sail home to Nuuk again. The catch is almost guaranteed, the only problem one may encounter here, is that it could get hard to reach the redfish that are dwelling at the seabed if there are too many of the small cods around. - the mouth of Qooqqut Just before the turn in to the Qoqqut bay there is a waterfall where the fishing oppotunity for cod and redfish are really good. In 2011, some of the biggest redfish, weighing between 3 and 4 kg, was caught here. During some trips there were up to 4-6 big fish on board, but it does not happen every time. Fishing and barbecue with guide With this tour you can enjoy both food and fishing, through a combination of fishing at open sea and a tasty barbeque. Your guide will bring you by open boat to a good fishing spot in the open sea, and after an hour or two of relaxing fishing surrounded by the beautiful waves, you will sail back to shore with your catch. Hunting tour with a local Since the first wave of immigration via Thule around 4000 to 5000 years ago, the Inuits in Greenland have been dependent on nature’s resources in the form of fish, birds, land mammals and marine mammals. Hunting and fishing have therefore always been a question of survival in a country in which the summer is short and the climate unsuitable for effective farming. This tour is a really authentic tour that provides great insight into the daily life of a Greenlandic hunter and fisherman (more often than not, they are both). In this tour you will experience the way in which hunters hunt at sea. When going hunting you have to remember that this is a part of daily life in Greenland - not all the meat in Greenland homes comes from supermarkets. Jagttur med lokal fanger Siden den første bølge af indvandring via Thule omkring 4000 til 5000 år siden, har inuitter i Grønland været afhængige af naturens ressourcer i form af fisk, fugle, landpattedyr og havpattedyr. Jagt og fiskeri har derfor altid været et spørgsmål om overlevelse i et land, hvor sommeren er kort og klimaet uegnet til effektivt landbrug. Denne tur er virkelig en autentisk tur, der giver stor indsigt i en grønlandsk fanger og fisker’s daglige liv (oftest, de er de begge dele). På denne tur vil du opleve den måde, hvorpå jægere jager på havet. Når du går på fangst du skal huske, at dette er en del af dagligdagen i Grønland - ikke alt kødet i de grønlandske hjem kommer fra supermarkeder. Isfjorden med vandretur og kaffe-mik i Kapisillit Ønsker du at opleve en af de mest iøjefaldende smukke fjorde i Grønland? Dette er turen at gøre det på. Eksponeret for den ærefrygtindgydende natur der er omkring dig, begynder turen med en åben båd, hvor man rejse ind til bunden af den fantastiske fjord Nuup Kangerlua. Under turen vil du passere fjelde, som er mere end 1.660 meter høje. De fleste af disse majestætiske bjerge er 2-3 milliarder år gamle. Det er også i disse fjelde at, geologer har fundet de første spor af liv på Jorden. Man vil komme til at se lodrette klippevægge, som der viser forskellige lag af størknet magma, som blev sendt op fra dybt inde i Jorden som vores planet forvandlet til sin fantastiske nutidige form. Efter cirka 2 timer og 15 minutter vil du være nået et område nær Kapisillit, en lille bygde der hovedsagligt beskæftigere sig med fiskeri og jagt. Herfra vil man så fortsætte på en vandretur, der vil tage cirka 45 minutter i et smuk fladt terræn. Den ældste person, der tog denne vandretur, i 2012, var 78 år. Så du skal ikke indstille dig på at du skal ud og klatre på stejle klippevægge! Ved afslutningen af turen vil du blive belønnet med en fantastisk udsigt over isfjorden i Nuuk. Inde i fjorden vil du være i stand til at se de fantastiske isflager så langt som øjet kan se. Udsigten er spektakulær, med den hvide farve mod det turkisblå hav skaber et unikt visuelt billede, du aldrig vil glemme. Efter vandretur til isfjorden er det på tide at vende tilbage til båden og rejse korte 10 minutter til Kapisillit hvor du vil komme til at tilbringe en time i Kapisillit, og den erfaring det vil give dig er en forståelse af, hvordan livet er for dem som lever og arbejder hånd i hånd med naturen. Ice fiord with hike and kaffe-mik in Kapisillit Do you want to experience one of the most strikingly beautiful fiords in Greenland? This is the tour to do so. Exposed to the aweinspiring nature around you, the tour begins with an open boat journey to the bottom of the stunning fiord Nuup Kangerlua. During the tour you will pass mountains which are more than 1660 metres high. The majority of these majestic mountains are 2 billion to 3 billion years old, and right up to the edge of the ice cap they are as old as 3.8 billion years. It is within these rocks that geologists have discovered the oldest known evidence of life on Earth. You will be able to see vertical rock walls that display different layers of solidified magma which was sent up from deep within the Earth as our planet morphed into its stunning present-day form. After approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes you will reach an area near Kapisillit, a small fishing and hunting village. From here there is a hike that will take approximately 45 minutes in pretty flat terrain. The oldest person who did this hike in 2012 was 78 years old, so put your mind at ease that you wonâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t be scaling sheer cliff faces! On completion of the hike you will be rewarded by a fantastic view over the ice fiord of Nuuk. Within the fiord you will be able to view the amazing ice floes as far as the eye can see. The view is spectacular, with the white colour against the turquoise sea creating a visual memory you will never forget. After the hike to the ice fiord it is time to return to the boat and travel a short 10-minute journey to the settlement Kapisillit. Here you will be invited for coffee, tee and homebaked cakes by one of the local ladies in her home. This gives you a great change to meet the locals in their own surroundings. After the stop in Kapisillit the boat will bring you back to Nuuk, with the return journey taking around 2 hours. Duration:

Tempoet i livet i Kapisillit er langsom, så du får en stor chance at tage en pause fra dit daglige liv og til at koble af og slappe af. Transporten til Kapisillit er en kombination af en lukket båd og en åben båd. Bådturen tager ca 3 timer afhængigt af vejret. På denne tur er du på egen hånd i bygden i 3 til 4 dage. Men du behøver ikke bekymre dig om at være strandet med ingen steder at sove! Vi kan hjælpe dig med at arrangere overnatning i B & B eller et lille hus. Bygden er et fangst og fiskeri samfund, der ligger dybt inde i den smukke Nuuk Fjord, ca 75 km fra Nuuk. Kapisillit via closed and open boat This tour is an experience of a lifetime where you will get to experience life in a small settlement in Nuuk. You will feel almost as if you are stepping back in time, as the settlement only has one shop where you can buy all sorts of things, ranging from baby diapers to cinnamon to guns! The pace of life in Kapisillit is slow, giving you a great chance to take a break from your daily life and to unwind and relax. The transport to Kapisillit is a combination of a closed boat and an open boat. The boat tour takes about 3 hours depending on the weather. In this tour you are on your own in the settlement for 3 to 4 days. However don’t worry about being stranded with nowhere to sleep! We can help you arrange accommodation in a B&B or a small house. The village is a hunting and fishing community that dwells deep in the beautiful Nuuk Fjord, about 75 km from Nuuk. The name Kapisillit directly translated means “salmon” and it alludes to the fact that a river near the settlement is Greenland’s only spawning ground for salmon. The area is perfect for fishing and hiking. If you’re keen to hike, the most popular trek is undoubtedly the route that leads to the edge of the Kangersuneq fjord.

Along the west coast of Greenland Take a trip with the vessel ”Sarfaq Ittuk” and get close to the harbour environment in the smaller seaports, as all the locals often gather when a ship comes in. The seaport is where families meet and part, and where busy fishermen work on the catch of the day. Vandretur rundt om ”Lille Malene” Denne vandretur tager en rundt om det smukke fjeld Lille Malene og lader dig komme til at kende en uberørt, tavs vildmark uden at du behøver at vove dig for langt fra hovedstaden. Turen tager gæster over ujævnt terræn, på tværs af en granit klippevæg, der er næsten 4 milliarder år gammel. Den passerer bække og vandløb brusende med frisk, ren drikkevand, og under hele turen er der den spektakulære udsigt over de omkringliggende fjelde og fjorden. Gode travesko eller støvler er et must, samt en let windbreaker jakke og myggespray. Hiking around ”Lille Malene” This hike around the beautiful mountain of Little Malene lets you get to know a pristine, silent wilderness without venturing too far from the capital. It takes guests over rugged terrain, across a granite rock face that’s almost 4 billion years old. It passes brooks and streams cascading with fresh, clean, drinkable water, and takes in spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the fjord. Good walking shoes or boots are a must, as is a light windbreaker jacket and mosquito repellent. A small light rucksack is recommended for your belongings – and remember to bring a water bottle so you can sample fresh, cold water from a mountain stream.

To-dags selv-guidet vandretur På denne tur, bliver du sat på land ved udgangspunktet for turen (dette vil være på en fredag). Fra dette punkt skal du følge en afmærket sti i ca 3 km til den første lejr. Efter en god nats søvn under den store himmel oplyst af stjerner, vil du fortsætte turen til den anden lejr. Denne dag kan du forvente at gå 10 km, som vil tage dig ca 5 til 8 timer. På den sidste dag af turen (søndag) vil du gå til opsamlingsstedet, hvor du vil blive samlet op af en båd. Denne del af turen vil være ca 7 km lang og vil tage dig mellem 4 og 6 timer at gennemføre. Ruten kan variere i hele sæsonen, afhængig af faktorer såsom den smeltende sne og så videre. Ved lejren vil du finde telte, soveposer, køkkengrej og lignende - alt campingudstyr du har brug for, bortset fra fødevarer, som du skal tage med dig af sikkerhedsmæssige årsager. Den grønlandske natur byder på storslået vandre oplevelser i en næsten uberørt landskab. På de fleste steder, behøver du ikke at gå ret langt, før du kan nyde den rolige stilhed og synet af de store vidder. Det er kun dig og Moder Natur. Af sikkerhedsmæssige årsager vil vi give dig en satellitsender, så vi kan spore din rute på din vandretur. Two-day self-guided hike In this hike you are dropped off by boat at the starting point of the hike (this will be on a Friday). From this point you have to follow a marked path for about 3 km to the first camp. After a good night’s rest under the great sky lit up by stars, you will continue the hike to the second camp. This day you can expect to walk 10 km, which will take you approximately 5 to 8 hours. On the last day of the hike (Sunday) you will walk to the pick-up point where you will be picked up by boat. This part of the hike will be approximately 7 km and will take you between 4 and 6 hours to complete. The route might vary throughout the season, depending on factors such as the melting snow and so forth. At the camp you will find tents, sleeping bags, cooking gear and the like - all the camping equipment you need, except for food which you have to carry with you for safety reasons. The Greenlandic nature provides magnificent hiking experiences in an almost untouched landscape. In most areas of the country you do not need to walk very far before you can enjoy the tranquil silence and the sight of wide open spaces. It’s only you and Mother Nature. For safety reasons we will provide you with a satellite transmitter, so that we can track your route along your hike. The system also incorporates emergency services and sends your coordinates in case of emergency.

AirZafari Greenland - Individual tours are made on daily basis AirZafari Greenland has since 2010 offered sightseeing flights out of Nuuk by helicopter, and now we also offer these tours by airplane.

Getting ready for take-off

The helicopter are rented from AirGreenland. The AS350 helicopter can seat 5 passengers. It can land on the rocks near the icecap or on the local mountains around Nuuk for a picnic. The Partenavia P68 airplane is an ideal and very safe 2-engine high wing sightseeing aircraft. It offers comfortable seating for 5 passengers with a big window at each seat for optimum photo opportunity. Each passenger has electronic noise cancelling headsets for direct communication with the pilot. The headset also provides an option to listen to soft music along the flight. At this moment the Partenavia airplane doesn’t land in the mountains. However it does cover a bigger area for the same amount of money. The helicopter and the airplane both fly at an altitude of 150 meters or above, from where one can clearly witness the stunning nature around Nuuk. Both options offer the passengers a unique platform for taking photos and filming the Greenlandic nature and wildlife. It’s up in the air that one really realizes the enormous size and beauty of the Nuuk fiord complex. Various wildlife such as whales, seals and eagles are often spotted during the tours.

Vandring i Nuuk’s bagland Vandring i Grønland byder altid på spændende ture, hvad enten det gælder naturoplevelser og sværhedsgraden af de forskellige vandringer.

Hiking in the backcountry of Nuuk Hiking in Greenland always offers exciting trips, whether it is outdoor experiences and/or the severity of the various hikes.

Vi vil derfor gøre alle opmærksomme på at der i Nuuk’s bagland er opsat 2 skilte (se kortet side 63) På disse er der afmærket 4 officielle ruter, en hhv. grøn, gul, lyserød og orange rute. Der er på alle ruter lavet farvemarkeringer og man henstiller derfor til at man benytter sig af disse.

We would therefore make all aware that there have been placed 2 signs (see the map on page 63) regarding hiking in the backcountry of Nuuk. There are marked 4 official routes, a green, a yellow, a pink and an orange route. There are along all the routes been made color selections and and we therefore recommend that you use these.

Det er ydermere anbefalelsesværdigt at minde alle om at når man færdes ude i den grønlandske natur så er det bedst at være forberedt på at vejret hurtigt kan skifte. Husk derfor altid følge de råd som er oplyst på kortet.

Furthermore, it is advisable to remind everyone that when being outdoor in the Greenlandic nature it is best to be prepared due to rapid weather changes. Always remember to follow the advice that is given on the map.
