Em seu emblemático texto O Ensaio como Forma, o filósofo alemão theodor W. adorno exalta as possibilidades do ensaio, gênero bastardo entre a literatura e a ciência. a liberdade formal dessa escrita, assim como a alta carga de subjetividade, características que distanciam o ensaio adorniano da racionalidade cartesiana, encontram-se presentes, em certa medida, no projeto 7x7. criado em 2009 por sheila ribeiro – um conectivo de “artistasinterlocutores” que propõe uma plataforma singular para a crítica de dança. seus integrantes, artistas da dança em sua maioria, publicam textos de visada poética sobre os trabalhos de dança que veem, além de textos de outros artistas.

Na bienal sesc de Dança 2013, a presença de seis membros do 7x7 pretende estimular o debate artístico sobre os trabalhos de forma plural e informal. Eles convidam, assim, os artistas presentes em santos para que os procurem, caso a paixão por escrever sobre algum trabalho da bienal aconteça, através do e-mail 7x7-bienaldedanca@seteporsete.net. as colaborações serão publicadas no site do 7x7 e no site da bienal. in his iconic text The Essay as Form, German philosopher theodor W. adorno exalts the possibilities of the essay, a genre in between literature and science. the formal liberty of this writing mode, as well as the heavy load of subjectivity, features that distance the adornian essay from the cartesian rationality, are to some extent found in the 7X7 project, created in 2009 by sheila ribeiro, which is a collective of “speaker artists” that propose a single platform for dance critic. its members, mostly dance performers, publish poetic texts about dance works they see, in addition to texts from other artists.

in sesc Dance biennial 2013, the presence of six members of 7x7 intends to encourage an artistic discussion on works, in a plural and informal way. the group invites the artists who will be in santos to write them at 7x7-bienaldedanca@ seteporsete.net, in case you have passion for writing on any piece of the biennial. all contributions will be published on both the 7x7 website and the biennial website.
