Hi there, Nice to meet you! Welcome to the world of Thank you! 5! Tips! Sist i varje kapitel hittar du More FUN. Good luck! Christa, Lisette & Sonja
Dear teacher, Thank you! Good luck! Christa, Lisette & Sonja

My playlist It’s the first day of school. Students are standing in the schoolyard waiting for their lessons to start. Kim is listening to some music when two new students, Iva and Aidan, come up to him.
Iva:
Sorry, but do you know where classroom 10 is?
We’re lost. I’m Iva and this is Aidan. Kim:
Sure, let me just turn off my music.
Aidan: What are you listening to?
8
Kim shows Aidan his playlist. Aidan: Oh, cool, I have almost the same songs on one of my playlists. Kim:
Really? What do you listen to, Iva?
Iva:
I like to listen to rap, I listen to the beat in the songs
because I play the drums.
Kim:
Oh, you’re a drummer? Cool! Does your mom get angry
when you practise?
Iva:
Sometimes.
Kim:
You know, I like to play the guitar and sing rock.
Can we jam together sometime?
Iva:
Yes, of course!
Kim: Great!
Aidan: Cool, but… where is classroom 10? Kim:
Follow me, I’m in classroom 10 too.
Oh, there’s our teacher, we’d better
hurry inside!

Adhar at the concert Adhar sneaks into the concert. He knows he can’t stand listening to his favourite band like humans on earth do. He must be very careful. He cannot be found out. The space council has warned him about his cavalier behaviour. He knows they’re right, but he just can’t help himself. The Rolling Beatless are playing in New York City tonight and he just must hear them.
The warm-up band has just stopped playing, and now the show is about to begin. At first Adhar is very careful standing to the side not being noticed. As the band plays more of his favourite songs, he loses control. He’s out front just dancing and singing along... He twirls and swirls and jumps and sings as loud as he can. Halfway into the concert he feels a tap on his shoulder. Oh no!!! He’s a dead alien. Two big security guards stand on either side of him and ask to see his ticket. TICKET!!! Adhar doesn’t have a ticket! Before he knows it, the guards have thrown him out of the concert. They didn’t even notice that he looks different! Guess he wasn’t the weirdest looking person there!

Who’s up for a talent show? Teacher: Okay, everyone, listen up!
Who wants to do something
for the talent show?
Iva:
I can play the drums.
Teacher: Great, Iva! Anyone else?
26
Iva:
Kim, aren’t you a good singer?
Kim:
Yes, but I think Ida in 5A is better…
Aidan:
C’mon, you’re the best, at least in our class.
Kim:
OK, I can think about it.
Kim:
Alex:
I want to dance but not alone, I’m too shy.
Taylor:
I get really nervous too, so I’m happy to dance
together with you.
What are you two whispering about??
Alex and Taylor: We can plan a dance routine together! Teacher: Great, then we have one act with Iva on the
drums and one act with Alex and Taylor
dancing. Kim, will you let me know tomorrow
if you sing or not?
Kim: Okay! Teacher: I am so glad you are excited about the show!
It is going to be bigger than ever!

What’s wrong? Alula and her friend Freidi are at the Lunar Centre looking for a new pair of appendage covers. As they turn a corner in the shopping centre, they see Adhar. Alula pulls Freidi into a shop so they can avoid him. Freidi: What did you do that for? You’ve always liked Adhar. Alula: Yes, but… lately he’s just been annoying me…
Ever since he was at that concert in New York
he’s become such a bragger.
Freidi: Oh, you mean the one he sneaked into and then
got thrown out by the security guards?
Alula: Yes, that’s all he can talk about these days. Adhar’s feelings are hurt when he notices that Alula and Freidi go into a shop to get away from him. He gathers his courage and decides to follow them in and find out why. Adhar: Hi Alula! Hi Freidi! Alula and Freidi: Hi Adhar! Adhar: Feels like you’ve been avoiding me, Alula. Adhar laughs nervously. Alula doesn’t want to answer, she feels uncomfortable. She blushes and looks down at her tentacles. Alula: Well, Adhar, it feels like you’ve changed. All you want to do is brag
about that concert in New York. We used to talk about all kinds of
things, but now…
Adhar is shocked, he thought it was what people wanted him to talk about... The three friends go for a lunar shake to talk things through. Alula and Adhar are both happy to have cleared things up. Alula: See you at Space Scouts midweek. Adhar: See ya, Alula!

Whose turn is it? Taylor: Listen! What’s that noise? Alex:
It’s Iva on her drums. She’s really good!
Taylor: We need to practise our dance too.
30
Alex:
I have an idea for our new routine.
It goes something like this.
Alex starts to move. She turns and slides and twirls. Taylor: Hey, that’s good. We can win the talent show!
The others are not as good as we are!
Let’s go to the music room to practise.
When they get to the music room, Kim and Iva are already there. They are arguing. Iva:
I was here first.
I have to practise my drum solo.
Kim:
But I must practise singing.
It’s my turn now! Iva:
You can sing somewhere else!
Kim:
No, I can’t. The speakers and
the keyboards are here.
Alex and Taylor look at each other.

Rubbish! After a short break between lessons, the students get ready for more Environmental Sciences. Aidan: I already know that this lesson will be boring! Taylor: How so? Kim:
It’s about sorting waste. Recycling, you know. Zzzzzzzz.
Aidan: Wow, that’s a lot of rubbish! Look at that
pile on the floor! Is that a computer
behind the microwave?
Teacher: You need to sort as much waste as
possible into the right bags. This jam jar,
for example, should go into the bag with
the label “glass”. The group that sorts the most correctly wins. Ready, steady, go!
48
The kids run left and right past the teacher. They bring back electronics, old shirts and metal cans. Taylor: Where should I put the rubber duck?! Kim:
This old pan is copper, could it go into the metal bag?
Aidan: I would put the banana peel in the bio bag,
not in the mixed waste!
Taylor: I’ll put the shampoo bottle next to the rubber duck!
Teacher: Okay, stop! Please bring your bags to the front
of the class. Hmmm‌ Looks like Alex and Iva
sorted most correctly. Congratulations!
Aidan:
Oh man!
Alex & Iva: Wooooweeee! High five!
