OUT OF BOUNDS: Defined by white stakes, public roads, and the inside edge (golf course side) of perimeter fences at ground level. In addition, any ball coming to rest above the waters edge on the non-golf course side of a lateral water hazard is out of bounds.

WATER HAZARDS: Water hazard are painted with a yellow line. Lateral water hazards are painted with a red line. When a bulkhead defines the margin of a lateral water hazard, the inside edge (golf course side) of the bulkhead defines the margin of the hazard. The bulkhead is located inside the hazard and is an integral part of the course.

HANDICAP CALCULATION: In accordance with the USGA Handicap System Manual Section 3-5, eligible players who choose to play the SFPGA White tee markers will have their handicap adjusted by three (3) shots. This is the difference in the course rating between the two tees.

TURF NURSERY (Left of Hole # 3): The nursery green left of hole #3 is considered ground under repair. Relief is avaliable under Rule 25-1.

FORMAT: 18-holes of team four-ball stroke play. The format is one best ball of two with amateurs receiving 90% of their handicap. Teams will compete in separate Net & Gross competitions. In addition, Professionals will compete in a seperate stroke play competition. TEE MARKERS: Male Professionals and Amateurs will play from the SFPGA BLACK tee markers. Any Male amateur who has an age and course adjusted handicap that together is greater than or equal to 80 will play from the SFPGA WHITE tee markers. Female Professionals and Amateurs will play from the golf course RED tee markers.

DROP ZONES - HOLE #5, #9, #11: As an additional relief option for a ball in a water hazard, a ball drop is located on the front tee box at hole #5, #9 and #11.

NOTICE TO COMPETITORS In addition to the 2016-18 USGA Rules of Golf and Decisions and the SFPGA Rules of Play card, the following local rules will govern all play:

TIES: For the team competition (Net & Gross Divisions), any ties for overall first place will be broken via match of scorecards using the USGA recommended tie breaker (last nine, last six, last three, last hole). Any other ties will result in a splitting of the purse; including the low pro competition. NOTE: For the team competitions, teams will not be allowed to earn in both contests. The Net competition will take precedent when determining which contest to award for those teams that earn in both. GENERAL INFORMATION CONTESTS: The first player who hits the first Hole-in-One on hole #13 will win a Club Car golf car compliments of Club Car. Closest to the hole contests will be held on hole #11 (Earth Networks) and hole #5 (Precise Yardage Books.) There is a separate prize for the closest pro ($150) and closest amateur ($100) per contest. SCORECARDS/SCORING AREA: Scorecards must be signed, attested and returned to the scoring area immediately upon the completion of play for posting – Rule 6-6. The scoring area is located inside the clubhouse. RESTROOMS/WATER STATIONS: Located near #4 Fairway, #6 Green and #16 Tee. AWARDS: Awards will be available to the overall team net champion and overall team gross champion. The ceremony will take place inside the clubhouse. THE CLUB CAR PRO-OFFICIAL IS NEXT WEEK! Thursday, April 12th Frenchman’s Creek Country Club will host the Club Car Pro-Official presented by Earth Networks and supported by Birdie Box, DLL, Precise Yardage Books and LevelWear. The event is scheduled to be a 1:00 PM shotgun start. Teams must be comprised of one South Florida PGA Member/Associate in good standing with an Official from the same working entity. Cost per team is $313 ($333 with skins). For more details including registration, click here. Deadline is Monday, April 9th at 4:30 PM.

DRIVE, CHIP AND PUTT CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS On April 1st, two south Florida juniors competed in the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship at Augusta National. Gloria Nip of Port St. Lucie finished in 2nd place of the Girls 10-11 age division and Jensi Krampel of Naples finished in 3rd in the Girls 7-9 age division. Congratulations Gloria and Jensi! EARN MSR CREDIT! The South Florida PGA Junior Tour is looking for volunteers to assist with upcoming junior events. Volunteers earn 1 MSR credit per hour worked.
