YAMAHA JUNIOR-SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP Jupiter Country Club Monday, July 23, 2018

NOTICE TO COMPETITORS FORMAT: 18-Hole, 6-6-6 Team Competition with Optional Team Bonus and Skins Pools. Course Holes #1-6 (Modified Pinehurst), Course Holes #7-12 (Scramble), Course Holes #13-18 (Four-Ball Stroke Play). LIFT, CLEAN AND PLACE: In all formats the players may lift, clean and place the ball within one SFPGA scorecard length of the hole when the ball is located through the green. NOTE: Any time the ball is lifted under the Rules, it may be substituted. MODIFIED PINEHURST (Course Holes #1–6): Two competitors play as partners, each playing from the teeing ground of every hole. The partners then select one of the tee shots from which to play and the other ball is picked up. Play from this point on is alternate shot until the ball is holed. SCRAMBLE (Course Holes #7–12): On each hole, each team member may hit a tee shot. The team then selects one of the tee shots from which to play. Both team members may then hit from that position. This procedure is repeated until the ball is holed. Each team member may place the ball within one SFPGA scorecard length of the selected shot, but no nearer the hole. If a selected shot is played from a hazard, rough, fairway or fringe, the ball when moved (up to one SFPGA scorecard length) must remain in that same condition. When putting, you may place your ball within two inches of the selected shot, no nearer the hole. Once a ball is holed, no further strokes count. On the putting green, you may stand behind a teammate to determine the line of putt. FOUR-BALL STROKE PLAY (Course Holes #13–18): Two competitors play as partners, each playing his own ball. The lower score of the partners is the score for the hole. If one partner fails to complete the play of a hole, there is no penalty. Scores must be individually identifiable. In addition to the 2017-18 USGA Rules of Golf and the South Florida PGA Rules of Play Card, the following local rules will govern all play: TEES: All Junior Professionals (Age 49 & Under) will play from the YAMAHA WHITE tee markers. All Senior Professionals (Age 50 & Older) will play from the BLACK SFPGA tee markers. LATERAL WATER HAZARD: Lateral water hazards are defined by red painted lines. In the absence of a red line, the inside edge of the bulkhead (golf course side) defines the margin of the hazard. The bulkhead is inside the hazard and deemed to be an integral part of the course. No free relief is available. NOTE: On holes #4, 5, and 15 the red hazard stakes define the lateral hazard line. COQUINA SHELL AREAS: Are to be played as through the green. NOTE: A waste bunker is located between holes #3 and #11. This is not a bunker and players may ground their club without penalty. SCORECARDS/SCORING AREA: Scorecards must be signed, attested and returned to the main scoring area located inside the main clubhouse. You may use the space at the bottom of the scorecard to keep track of your team score. The gross scores to count must be individually identifiable for the Four-Ball portion of the competition (holes #13–18). TIES/PLAY-OFFS: Ties for the overall championship (only) will be broken via a sudden death play-off immediately following play starting on a hole to-be-determined by the Committee. All other ties will result in splitting of the purse. RULES COMMITTEE: Geoff Lofstead, Meredith Schuler, Dominic Smith, PGA, Brett Graf, PGA (954) 599-6003
