Senate Communication As a Student Senator, there are lots of places for you to go for information: • Your myFSU Email. Official communication will be emailed to you, and constituents may reach out to you based on what you post online! • Student Senate Listerv, sga-studentsenate@lists. fsu.edu. Links to business and any amended bills, upcoming events, or other pertinent information you need to know as a Student Senators will be sent via this listserv to your myFSU email account. • Student Senate & Committee GroupMe’s. Be sure to make sure the Senate ProTempore and your Committee Chair adds you to the proper GroupMe. • This Guidebook. Breaks down a lot of information regarding Student Senate and includes resources about SGA and Florida State University that you may find useful. • Meeting with Senate Leadership or your advisor: Check office hours or click the doodle link to set up a meeting to chat about legislation ideas! • Committee Meetings: You are required to go to your own committee meeting, but all Student Senate meetings are open for you to attend!

Email the Student Senate Advisor to correct it! • Senate Legislation: PDF copies of all legislation submitted on first reading is posted online every Tuesday by 4:00pm for your review. • Senate Legislative Forms: Submit an absentee form, new piece of legislation, or liaison report via the Qualtrics links on this page. Also have access to sample documents. • Senate Voting Results: Votes are recorded at each Senate meeting and posted by Friday previously for review. • Senate Documents: Includes posted minutes, signed bills and resolutions, archived information, previous business, and any governing documents. • Confirmation Letters: Links to forwarding and confirmation letters.
