TRANSAERO NEWS Imperial Class is in the top 20 best first class flights in the world The results of the analysis by the international expert board on flights and travel Flightfox, which is headquartered in Montreal, are in. Published in August 2014, this list is based on a comparative analysis of the comfort of onboard seating, the quality of food and beverages onboard and the prices of first class flights to certain destinations. According to this rating, Transaero’s Imperial Class is considered to be the best on the route New York — Moscow, which is also among the top 20 first class flights in the world. The Flightfox list also included first class flights operated by Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, and Lufthansa. Transaero airlines Imperial Class, which is unique in Russian civil aviation, was put into operation in 2008. Imperial Class is for those who know the value of exquisiteness, luxury and uniqueness of service. This project is based on a wish to combine the vast traditions of hospitality of the Russian Imperial families with the latest in aviation technology. Today Transaero offers its clients Imperial Class cabins in wide-body long-haul aircraft Boeing 747-400; Boeing 777-300; Boeing 777-200; Boeing 767-300; as well as on the single-aisle medium-range aircraft Boeing 737-800.

Over the past years Transaero aircrafts with Imperial Class cabins made flights on more than 30 domestic and international routes. The popularity of Imperial Class among Transaero passengers is constantly growing. In July 2014 the number of passengers in this class increased by 15% compared to July of the previous year.
Transaero airlines was awarded the GlobeRunner Prize by the Frequent Business Traveler website Transaero airlines was awarded the GlobeRunner Award, a prize founded by the website for businessmen who fly frequently, namely the Frequent Business Traveler. Transaero was named the winner in the nomination “best food and wine onboard”. The ceremony took place in New York.
Transaero airlines traditionally pays a lot of attention to the range and quality of food onboard. Imperial Class and Business Class travelers are offered exquisite courses made by the best chefs from Pushkin Restaurant. These courses are delivered onboard just before the aircraft’s departure. On flights from Saint-Petersburg Business Class travelers are offered courses from a famous restaurant from the Ginza chain. Imperial and Business Class travelers are also offered an extensive wine list and other alcoholic beverages from all over the world. The GlobeRunner Awards highlight the highest achievements of companies that work in the field of travel and tourism from across the world. The recepients are airlines, hotel chains, car manufacturers, travel accessory producers and tourist websites. The GlobeRunner Awards 2014 for civic aviation were also given to Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, Delta Airlines, United Airlines and Etihad Airways in various nominations. The prize is awarded according to the results of online polling of the website’s readers who are frequent international business travelers. This year more than 150 thousand people voted between March 18 and May 31. Transaero was awarded the GlobeRunner Award for the second year in a row. In 2013, Transaero came first in the “Best Airline in Europe, Middle East and Africa” category.

Transaero Privilege’s 800,000th Participant Rewarded Evgeny Prokhorov from Yekaterinburg received the accolade. A New Way of Counting Points from Svyaznoy Club Svyaznoy Club and Transaero airline decided to forego the fixed exchange rate for converting Svyaznoy Club pluses into the Transaero Privilege bonus points. In addition, there are now ready-made bonus points packages available for exchange. As of July 28, 2014 members of Svyaznoy Club who have a Transaero Privilege loyalty card can exchange their pluses to bonus points packages. The bigger the package, the fewer pluses are taken per bonus point. The new exchange rate, which depends on the amount of bonus points acquired, allows the member to increase the efficiency of pluses collected and receive rewards in the Transaero Privilege program faster. Transaero Passengers to Book through Ostrovok.ru Transaero and the leading local service for booking accommodation Ostrovok.ru have announced the signing of a partnership agreement. The airline’s website now features an option to book hotels around the world. The option is available to any visitor of www.transaero.ru. The user needs to type in a city, arrival and departure dates and provide the number of guests. Based on the search, the system displays a list of relevant results. The service is available at hotels.transaero.ru. Ostrovok.ru boasts one of the largest hotels databases among similar global online services and contains 250,000 hotels worldwide. The company has recently signed agreements with a number of leading global hotel chains such as Rezidor Hotel Group, Marriott, Accor, and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. Booking and payment is available online or on-site. For greater convenience Ostrovok.ru made it possible to book rooms in the majority of hotels on offer without a credit card. The service also provides a round-the-clock multilingual customer support.

Despite a complicated state of foreign affairs and its influence of recent political and economical developments, Transaero airline continued its steady growth. The increase in passenger traffic on domestic flights to a large extent has been determined by the introduction of a new product: Discount Class. The company is leading other airlines in freight transportation on domestic flights. Transaero Announces Results for the First Six Months of 2014
The airline will start regular flights on the Moscow-Astrakhan route for the first time on September 11, 2014. Flights UN 147/148 will be operated on the lowbudget Discount Class from Moscow’s Domodedovo airport on a Boeing 737 twice a week, on Thursdays and Fridays, on the following schedule: • Departure from Moscow at 07:10, arrival in Astrakhan at 09:30 • Departure from Astrakhan at 10:30, arrival in Moscow at 12:50. The availability of flights between Moscow and Astrakhan is another step in the development of domestic flight infrastructure. Transaero Introduces Additional Flights from Moscow to Simferopol The airline continues to develop routes to the Crimea. Additional flights from Moscow to Simferopol have been introduced. Planes depart from Sheremetyevo airport (Terminal B). The largest aircraft in Russian civil aviation — Boeing 747-400 — with a seating capacity of 522 has been employed for these flights. UN 2217/2218 flights are scheduled for Thursday and Sunday: departure from Moscow at 15:35, arrival in Simferopol at 18:00; departure from Simferopol at 20:40, arrival in Moscow at 23:00. Transaero also offers low-cost regular flights from Moscow to Simferopol from Domodedovo airport in Discount Class on wide-body Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 767 airplanes. With the introduction of additional flights from Sheremetyevo the overall number of Transaero flights from Moscow to Simferopol will reach 25 a week. In the first six months of 2014 the number of flights between Moscow and
Simferopol compared to the same term last year has increased almost 5.5 times. On July 6, 2014 Transaero also introduced a completely new air lane from Saint Petersburg to Simferopol.
Summer Success for “Flight of Hope” In the three summer months our most special aircraft — the unique charity project “Flight of Hope” — carried out more than 150 flights. Passengers onboard this plane donated around 700,000 roubles to the “Life Line” fund for the treatment of children with serious heart diseases. One passenger of this special flight was truly inspired by the project and upon arrival in Moscow decided to become a regular benefactor and donate money irrespective of his flight schedule. The sum collected by “Flight of Hope” passengers in July helped pay for the operation of Dima Zhidkov, whose treatment cost 207,700 roubles. Dima, who is turning three on September 12, received a real birthday present from all those who contributed to the “Life Line” fund. Since the launch of the project in November 2013 “Flight of Hope”
July 28, 2014 saw the millionth Discount Class passenger taken aboard a Transaero flight. Evgeny Kolesnikov, 22, flying from Saint Petersburg to Moscow became the millionth passenger in Discount Class. Prior to take-off at Pulkovo airport Mr. Kolesnikov was presented with a gift of a Business Class ticket for two to any Transaero destination in Russia or Europe. The winning passenger also received other memorabilia from the airline and the airport. Discount Class, a low-cost travel class, was launched on January 14, 2014. The new service was designed as a response to the Russian government’s call to increase the availability of air travel to the Russian people. Discount Class is currently available on nearly three dozen Transaero domestic and international destinations. Passengers are offered the opportunity to fly Discount Class from Domodedovo airport in Moscow to Saint Petersburg; Yekaterinburg; Kazan; Kaliningrad; Kemerovo; Krasnodar; Mineralnye Vody; Perm; Rostov-on-Don; Samara; Simferopol; Sochi; Stavropol; Tomsk; Ufa; Khanty-Mansiysk; Karaganda; Kokshetau; Kiev; Odessa; Vilnius; Berlin; Rome; and Milan. Discount Class is also available on flights from Saint Petersburg to Simferopol and Milan. At the moment Discount Class is available on a fleet of 17 Boeing 737 aircrafts. During the summer high season a range of popular Discount Class destinations were serviced by widebody Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 767 aircrafts. Discount Class covers the entire seat allocation.
