“It’s all about sharing with the community how to benefit from the latest technology, jobs and STEM careers,” said Jackie Jackson, AT&T director of regional operations and NJ community engagement lead for NETwork NY/NJ “What better way to celebrate Juneteenth by reflecting on the past, exploring the present and helping our kids dream big about their futures.”

On June 16, the HACEMOS New Jersey chapter hosted 26 firstgeneration Latino college students for a leadership day at AT&T Labs in Middletown.

Continuing its partnership with HISPA and a decade long tradition, HACEMOS presented a leadership day for the students from the Center for Hispanic Policy, Research and Development (CHPRD) New Jersey Governor’s Hispanic Fellows Program. The students were amazed with the rich history of innovation in AT&T during a visit to AT&T’s Science and Technology Innovation Center. They also learned about cybersecurity; ethics and compliance in technology; and HACEMOS members’ career journeys.

Employee Groups members are the cultural lifeblood of our organization and when it comes to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion, they are the vanguard, helping to shape our path forward. Across AT&T’s enterprise, there are 27 employee groups and networks – with more than 100,000 members participating.
