Jessica Gonzalez, a Jersey City lawyer who has pushed to help those hardest hit by the war on drugs enter the cannabis business world, is getting a chance to do just that.

Gonzalez was named Wednesday as a consultant to help create the New Jersey Business Action Center‘s Cannabis Technical Assistance Program and Training Academy. The center is housed in the Secretary of State’s office and when New Jersey legalized marijuana, proponents pushed to have the agency use its expertise to make sure that the nascent cannabis industry was open to all.

AT&T, Libraries in New Jersey Offering Free Tech Training; Some programs in Spanish

As part of AT&T’s $2 billion commitment to narrow the digital divide, AT&T* and Public Library Association (PLA) are helping people gain the skills and confidence they need to use technology through free digital literacy workshops at libraries across New Jersey and nationwide.

For those unable to attend community workshops, AT&T created a curated series of FREE self-paced digital literacy courses in collaboration with PLA that is accessible online for learners everywhere at digitalliteracy.att.com. Here, participants can advance their digital literacy skills through guided instruction, animated demonstrations and hands-on learning in English or Spanish.
