America Needs You fights for economic mobility for ambitious first-generation college students. We do this through our Fellows Program, an intensive 2-year career development program ANY serves over 600 students and a network of 1,800 Fellows Program Alumni with over 40% of our Fellows identifying as Hispanic/LatinX. We are looking for 50 more volunteers in New Jersey to become Mentor Coaches working 1:1 with a Fellow throughout their sophomore and junior year as they explore careers and receive professional development training. a Mentor Coach you will:

· Attend monthly, half-day Saturday workshops and regular check-ins with your Fellow.

· Cultivate their strengths

· Help them secure internships and overcome obstacles.

· Build your own leadership skills.

· Grow your network.

· Find mentorship and community amongst hundreds of other Mentor Coaches.

DoorDash Announces Accelerator for Local Restaurants Cohort in New Jersey in Partnership with Accion Opportunity Fund, DeliverZero, and the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey In Partnership with Accion Opportunity Fund, DeliverZero, and the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, DoorDash Welcomed its Newest Accelerator for Local Restaurants Cohort of Seven Local Restaurant Owners based in New Jersey

Small business owners receive $10,000 grants, reusable packaging, and access to financial education services.

NEW JERSEY - Today, DoorDash announced the newest cohort of its Accelerator for Local Restaurants composed of seven local restaurant owners based in New Jersey as part of a larger cohort of 20 New York City and New Jersey-area restaurants In partnership with Accion Opportunity Fund, the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, and DeliverZero, DoorDash is proud to welcome the New Jersey cohort to help increase access to opportunity for small businesses, including those owned by women, immigrants, and people of color

As members of the first New Jersey cohort of the Accelerator for Local Restaurants program, these small business owners will receive $10,000 grants, an intensive eight-week training and education curriculum, one-on-one customized business advising, the opportunity to connect with other local restaurant owners, and more This year, DoorDash is also partnering with DeliverZero to provide free environmentally friendly, reusable packaging to participating restaurants – the equivalent of up to six months of free packaging for each business – as they transition their businesses to a more sustainable future.

ON-DEMAND DELIVERY PLATFORM DOORDASH IS TRYING TO HELP LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD FOR NEW JERSEY RESTAURANTS OWNED BY WOMEN, IMMIGRANTS AND PEOPLE OF COLOR.

AS PART OF AN ACCELERATOR PROGRAM LAUNCHED BY THE COMPANY IN COLLABORATION WITH ACCION OPPORTUNITY FUND, THE STATEWIDE HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF NEW JERSEY AND THE FIVE-BOROUGH CHAMBER ALLIANCE, SEVEN EATERIES IN THE GARDEN STATE WILL RECEIVE $10,000 GRANTS.

Definition:

Under the close supervision of a Librarian 3 or higher-level librarian, you will provide reference services to all three branches of state government; students, staff and mentors of Thomas Edison State University; New Jersey public libraries; and the general public. On a regular basis you will be working across many subject areas including business, New Jersey history, law, and more You will present programs and training classes for library users Serving as a collection specialist, you may be identifying, ordering and maintaining print and electronic resources You should be tech savvy and thrive with the use of digital tools

Requirements:

License- Possession of or eligibility for a valid New Jersey license as a Professional Librarian.

Examples of Work:

• Provides reference service to all the communities served by the New Jersey State Library, using the full range of print and electronic resources available

• Identifies, orders and maintains print and electronic resources in subject specific areas

• Participates in digital projects to promote unique library collection

• Develops training and presentation materials to instruct users on print and electronic collections

• Creatively engages users with research guides to enhance discoverability of resources

• Responsible for budget of assigned collections

• Prepares reports for users and administrators

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Can effectively select and use eResources and print materials to respond to research requests

• Basic knowledge of library cataloging or metadata classification practices

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Skilled in use of common library technology and software

• Enjoys working with researchers both virtually and in person

• Can instruct researchers on the use of library resources

• Works collaboratively with library staff at all levels

• Prepares and deliver engaging/interesting presentations

• Prepares reports containing findings and recommendations

• Reads, writes, speaks, understands, and communicates in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position American Sign Language or Braille may also be considered as acceptable forms of communication
