A word from the CEO As we revel in this festive month of December, I extend a heartfelt greeting to all of you. This time of year is not just about holiday cheer but also a chance to reflect on our community's strength and unity. In this issue of our Business Matters Magazine, I'd like to share some thoughts and hopes with you.
Deidre Peterson Chamber President & CEO
2023 Board Members
December is a month of giving, and it warms my heart to see the generosity within our community. Many of you are involved in volunteer initiatives, supporting local charities and events, and making a positive impact. Let's carry this spirit beyond the holidays, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and unity throughout the year. During this season of celebration, I hoe you will join me in pledging to 'shop local.' Right now, it’s more important than ever to support the local businesses we love. You might not realize it but every time you order from your favorite eatery, purchase a gift from the local boutique, or order online from a neighborhood business, you’re shopping local and making a difference. Shop Local is more than a day or a season. It is a way of life. Our community thrives when we support our local businesses. By choosing to shop locally, we contribute to a robust local economy and support fellow entrepreneurs. We are choosing to make a difference for our friends and neighbors. As we exchange gifts and celebrate, let's make a conscious effort to back the businesses that make our community unique. Looking forward, the coming year holds exciting possibilities. At the Chamber we will continue to be a Catalyst for business growth, a Convener of leaders and influencers, and a Champion for a strong community. In the upcoming year, I hope we will all continue working together, sharing ideas, and exploring new collaborative opportunities. Strengthening community bonds will not only enhance individual success but also contribute to the overall prosperity of Mason County. As we reflect on the past year and look forward to the opportunities ahead, let's carry the holiday spirit of joy, goodwill, and collaboration with us. On behalf of the entire Chamber team, I wish you a joyous holiday season filled with warmth, laughter, and the company of loved ones. Cheers to a prosperous and collaborative New Year!
