A Message from the president On behalf of the 1,000+ members of the Huntsville/Madison County Builders Association, I would like to welcome you to the 2016 Parade of Homes. We are proud to present 65 new homes for you to tour. These homes are located throughout Madison County with one home located in Limestone County. You can visit 58 different neighborhoods this year! The 2016 Parade features homes from $173,458.00 to $825,000.00. You will find a home for any lifestyle. With this great cross section everyone can find their “American Dream.” The 23 builders represented in this year’s parade have spent months preparing their homes for you. They look forward to the Parade as a time to show their best work. This Guidebook will assist you in mapping your Parade route. You may pick homes in particular price categories or pick a starting point and tour all the homes. There is no charge to visit any Parade home. The Association is proud to present its 2016 Showcase Home located in The Village of Providence. Constructed by Sam Bryan, Jimmy Bryan Homes, The John Tee designed Southern Living plan features a brick and Hardie plank exterior, open concept living, as well as outdoor living areas. The home is centered around the gorgeous views overlooking the bluffs of Indian Creek. Across the main floor of the home is a chef’s kitchen with gas cooking, custom cabinetry, and stone counters. Some of the other notable features include a 3 car garage, a media room, and a separate bonus space over the garage. With approximately 3,963 +/- square feet, this home will surely be one you won’t want to miss while touring this year’s Parade of Homes™. The First Stop on The Parade Route! The 2016 Showcase Home is a John Tee designed Southern Living plan that blends traditional architecture with modern-day interior amenities. Located in The Village of Providence, BALA’S 2014 Community of the Year, this 3,963 square foot home overlooks Indian Creek and the Greenway on one of the neighborhoods coveted Creekside lots. “The Showcase Home is a project of the Huntsville Madison County Builders Association and its members. Built by Sam Bryan, Jimmy Bryan Construction, the home will showcase many of the industry’s most popular trends and latest building materials,” commented TJ Meers, President of the Association. The open floor plan invites creativity without sacrificing function and blends formal spaces with social concepts. Guests will be greeted by the Mahogany front door and inviting covered front porch reminiscent of a time where the front porch was a gathering place for friends and family – a concept embraced by the residents of Providence. 6

The two-story entry and staircase is wrapped in shiplap and flooded with natural sunlight from the windows above. The stunning two-story Great Room features a two-story shiplap fireplace, custom built-ins, and site-finished oak floors also found throughout the home. The kitchen is designed for both the Chef and the Entertainer and features commercial grade appliances, custom cabinets with dovetail drawers, Calcutta marble counters including an 8x6 island with seating. The main level Master Bedroom is a true retreat with access to a screened-in porch providing elevated views of the creek and greenway below. The Master Bath features Carrera marble counters, walk-in shower, and floors laid in herringbone pattern in addition to a free standing pedestal soaking tub and walk-in closet with custom closet shelving and storage.

A highlight of the Main Level is the rear covered porch that stretches the entire length of the home and provides unparalleled views of greenspace and nature – inside and out. The porch features Trex composite decking, outdoor masonry fireplace, and an outdoor kitchen with appliances. The upstairs includes three, large secondary bedrooms that have access to individual full baths and walk-in closets. The upstairs Gallery is open to the Great Room and Foyer and leads to the Studio with a Juliette balcony in the Great Room. There is an additional Bonus Room, with separate access from the home and is located above the three-car garage with a half bath. Creating the Sweet Life Featured Village | Village of Providence
S
uperb planning and strict adherence to high design standards combine to give The Village of Providence a special charm—all of which led to it being named 2014 Community of the Year in the Best in American Living Awards. Like a glass of sweet tea on a hot August day, the Village of Providence in Huntsville, Alabama is positively filled with southern charm. Whether strolling down the side walk or driving the tree-lined streets, one feels a sense of being in that perfect hometown grandparents still talk about. Commercial buildings continue the look and feel of the community using traditional architecture that blends into the overall aesthetic. Each home in the Parade of Homes™ has been given a number which corresponds with its placement on the centerfold map. This system will make it easier for you to locate homes you wish to visit. You will also find a write-up on each home and easy to follow directions to each home.
2. MAP OUT YOUR TOUR Once you have made your selections, turn to the centerfold map. The numbers correspond with each entry write-up in the guidebook. Additionally, all entries have been color coded on the map according to price range to enable you to see prices at a glance. Whether you want to live in a particular area of the county or have a specific price range in mind, the map will help you to key in on the homes you wish to visit.
3. TOUR THE HOMES Follow the directions provided in the write-up to visit any or all of the homes. There are 65 new homes to choose from! The 2016 Parade of Homes™ begins the weekend of Saturday, Sunday and Monday, October 8, 9 and 10, and will continue the following weekend, Saturday and Sunday, October 15 and 16.
