The 2017 Parade features homes from $170,000 to $700,000. You will find a home for any lifestyle which is representative of this year’s theme: “From Plans to Reality”! The 22 builders and the developer have spent months preparing these properties for you to tour. They look forward to the Parade as a time to show their best work. This Guidebook will assist you in mapping your Parade route. You may pick homes in particular price categories or pick a starting point and tour all the homes. There is no charge to visit any Parade home; however, please download your PARADE PASS on our website, MadisonCountyParadeofHomes.com. You may print the Pass or you may show it on your mobile device to be scanned at each property. The Association is proud to present its 2017 Showcase Home, located in The Meadows of Hampton Cove. “The Tanner,” a newly designed home plan, making its debut, was built by Bryan Pogue, Matrix Builders. The brick and stone exterior and the large front porch create an inviting craftsman feel. With a combination of thoughtful design and a casual style, this home offers open living spaces that encourage gatherings with friends and family. “The Tanner” is approximately 3,600 square feet with four bedrooms, 4.5 baths, a pocket office, and a vaulted master suite with spa bath featuring a free-standing tub and designer master closet. The large upstairs loft will be the hub for family entertainment with a convenient beverage bar. Incredible outdoor living spaces offer a vaulted covered rear porch, an outdoor fireplace and additional outdoor patio areas. The Tanner home design was provided by Julie Brakefield Designs. The Showcase Home is in the convenient, yet secluded and scenic, Southeast Huntsville community - The Meadows.
Just beyond the kitchen, you’ll discover a built-in pocket office perfect for keeping your busy life organized, storing cookbooks, crafting, and even homework. The laundry room, equipped with cabinetry, offers long drawers for storing wrapping paper, craft supplies and much more! The laundry sink will make bathing your pets a breeze!
The Showcase Home, a project of the Huntsville Madison County Builders Association (HMCBA), highlights members of the Association who’ve joined together to introduce new trends and designs, building materials, home automation, and energy features.
The open staircase leads the way to the upstairs loft and media room, complete with a beverage bar, refrigerator, and microwave. Family entertaining couldn’t be more convenient. There are two bedrooms, two baths and access to walk out storage; the spray foam insulation makes this area suitable for storing those cherished items.
“When asked to build the Showcase Home, our Matrix Builders team decided that our focus would be on delivering a unique design suited for the lifestyle of today’s homebuyer while using materials that are durable and consider the long-term cost of home ownership. Every sub-contractor and vendor involved has been engaged and worked alongside us to achieve this goal. We have strived to build an affordable yet timeless home that the new homebuyer can enjoy for years to come,” stated Bryan Pogue, Matrix Builders. The Showcase Home, with its brick and natural stone exterior and large front porch, creates an inviting craftsman feel. Each home in the Parade of Homes™ has been given a number which corresponds with its placement on the centerfold map. This system will make it easier for you to locate homes you wish to visit. You will also find a write-up on each home and easy to follow directions to each home.
2. MAP OUT YOUR TOUR Once you have made your selections, turn to the centerfold map. The numbers correspond with each entry write-up in the guidebook. Additionally, all entries have been color coded on the map according to price range to enable you to see prices at a glance. Whether you want to live in a particular area of the county or have a specific price range in mind, the map will help you to key in on the homes and developments you wish to visit.
3. TOUR THE HOMES Follow the directions provided in the write-up to visit any or all of the homes. There are 57 new homes and 1 new development to choose from! The 2017 Parade of Homes™ begins the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, October 14 and 15, and will continue the following weekend, Saturday and Sunday, October 21 and 22. The homes are open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
