Getting WEB TRAFFIC to your site
T
raffic is what all Internet Marketers are after. Though to be more precise, we are after targeted traffic, not just any old traffic. Targeted traffic means they are interested in what we have to offer and are therefore more likely to buy, signup or otherwise participate in our website.
Many marketers spend thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours building traffic to their websites. In some cases, the cost of traffic generation far exceeds the income made from the site itself. Aside from the usual traffic generation methods, there are other Web 2.0 techniques you can use to increase your traffic. One site in particular stands out with its ability to generate vast amounts of traffic very quickly. This site is Stumbleupon.com. It is a site that has a great following and offers something for people who are bored at work or at home. The basic premise is that you find a site you think is interesting (you Stumbled Upon it) and submit it to Stumbleupon. Visitors to Stumbleupon can look through the sites other people have found. They can vote to say they like a site, which gets it more views, or say they don’t like it, which gets them less views.
In order for your site to do well on Stumbleupon it must be the kind of site that people will want to pass on and recommend. Sales letters don’t tend to do very well, but controversial or contrarian articles do. Anything that is cute, funny or entertaining will do well.
In many ways, Stumbleupon appeals to that voyeuristic, reality TV mindset. People can see what other people are doing and vote – something which is becoming ingrained into out culture.
[
This can be an article, a video, or anything of a similar ilk. It must be something that has social appeal to your niche. You may have to think about how you can spin your content in order to give it wide ranging appeal. It can be done though, and will get you traffic.
[
You can Stumbleupon your site yourself, but it is better to get someone else to do the original Stumbleupon for you. This could be a friend, family or an outsourcer. They will need a set of space separated tags plus a description and to know which category you want it placed in. Once it has been Stumbleuponed, you need to get other people to say they like it through the Stumbleupon website. This will help to kickstart the viral effect. If you can, put a link to Stumbleupon on your website to make it easy for your visitors to say they like it.
A well written article with wide social appeal can get thousands of visitors in a single day from Stumbleupon. It is a very powerful site that you, as a marketer, must be using. With the traffic potential from this site, you are missing out on valuable backlinks and massive amounts of traffic if you are not using it.

Although you suppressed the urge to do hair, how do you feel now that you are extremely successful from doing hair? I'm still in disbelief, that I have become so successful being a hairstylist. Now that I have gasp some time to reflect on what I've done. Its truly a blessing to have a strong home base clientele, be able to travel and work with celebrity clients. Its all a blessing. Did you ever think that your talent of doing hair would lead to you styling some major celebrities today? No I didn't think that my talent was of that level. I guess when your surrounded by a family of hairstylist. You think its normal to be able to do what u do. U only know you can do it. Your not actually looking at the quality of work your producing. I think it's great that you model to help create/ sell your brand, would you consider being the face of your brand? Or are you looking to expand by having models? I'm actually more of a behind the scenes person. So I will eventually have models. I think that it all goes hand in hand with me modeling because its like I'm interning as a model but not to actually model but to have the experience to help the models I hire and work with. Cus I'm always on set giving my directions on how to sell it.
After expanding in New Orleans, is there another location you have in mind to open a salon? I like Miami and L.A besides new Orleans. So if there would be an expansion one of those two would be perfect. Do you have any celebrities that you wish to style in the future? I can't believe the people I have done so far so I'll take which ever celebrities come my way. I'm not picky. What is your most memorable experience while doing hair? Touring is definitely my most memorable moment. I toured the team that we traveled with where phenomenal people from all over. Japan and I were partying from state to state. The my twisted mind tour was so much fun. What is your signature or go to hair style? My Marcel curls are my signature. Its so many different spirals and size curls that I can done. Its amazing and it takes technique to be able to roll those Marcel curls. So that's definitely my signature in styling. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Hopefully very stable and well established as a stylist and business woman. I know exactly what I will be doing for the rest of my life. So the business ventures I'm about to dish out Will work or won't by then to take along on my journey.
When would you be looking to reopen the salon in New Orleans? With in the next 3 years. I'm gaining the experience right now and introducing our family and my independent brand to the world. When u open a business you have to be fully dedicated n right now I'm traveling alot and still building so definitely with in the next 3-5 years maybe sooner
With a strong resume and clientele so far, it is safe to see that The Queen of Kash has a bright future ahead of her. She is currently working on reopening a LaBelle beauty salon in New Orleans, where she will oversee both the New Orleans and Lafayette locations.

Jay Jones Age: 23 Hometown: New Orleans, Louisiana When did you start your career? My career started about 2012 when I dropped my first project, “Only If You Kool Enough”. I’ve just been grinding it out since then. Can you compare your style to anyone in the game right now? I wouldn’t compare myself to anybody. I’m just in my own creative zone right now, so I’m just being myself and trying new things at this time. What would you consider to be your recognizable track? Of course it’s “The Zoo”, the track with Fetty Wap. I don’t feel like it’s my greatest record, but I know for sure that’s the one everybody knows. At this point, what’s going on with you? Any deals? Right now I’ve just been in the studio finishing up a collaboration project with my brother Hollygrove Keem and I’ve been working on my solo project. I mean there are a couple of situations on the tables, but nothing I’m ready to speak on at this time.

What steps did you take in getting to the point your at now? I really just stayed working – just stayed focused and stayed in the studio. You lose a lot of sleep, but at the end of the day, it’s worth it and it all pays off. Who would be your ideal artist to work with? Honestly, I really want to work with Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Drake, Lil Wayne - somebody on that level. What is your ultimate career goal? My ultimate goal is to provide for my family - my beautiful daughter - and really be remembered as one of the best to do music, especially coming from the city.

K.T. Age: I'm 22 years old
Hometown: I'm originally from Philadelphia, moved to Jersey When I was 12.
When did you start your career? I've always had a love for music growing up, but I started to take it serious in 2009 when my boys and I started our group. We started off doing birthday parties and school events to doing much big events later on. I feel like being in a group gave me the upper hand because i was able to learn so much and grow as an artist by experiencing the journey to success with my talented bestfriends. Can you compare your style to anyone in the game right now? I still don't even know what my style is, therefore it is incomparable. I am still experimenting and trying to figure out how to create the sound that I have that's so vividly in my head. Once I get it out the everyone will know! What would you consider to be your recognizable track? As of right now it's "I Got It" its pretty much just a raw track of me going in rapping about how I will make my mark in this industry and I'm really not worried about a damn thing! I just released a new song that's more on the R&B vibe called "Emotional Interlude" that is doing really getting a lot of love so that might be beating "I Got It" out pretty soon. At this point, what’s going on with you? any deals? At this point I am just trying to find my sound. I am working on my first solo project entitled "Matte Blac" that will allow my fans to see the direction that i'm moving in and allow them to see what I'm really about. What steps did you take in getting to the point your at now? Growth and Commitment with my boys. I wouldnt be where I am right now without them. We've put 7 years into perfecting our talents and getting them ready for the world. We owe it to each other to each make to craziest impact on the world that we can. Who would be your ideal artist to work with? I haven't really given it much thought. I'm truly just wrapped up in myself at the moment because i want my music to create a different vibe. but at the moment, I think Travis Scott is a really creative and talented artist. i would love to hear his ideas! What is your ultimate career goal? I want to be as successful as I always knew I could be since I was 12 years old, rapping about Black History Month at my middle school. I want to be more than just and artist, I want to be a successful business owner.

6 Ways To Care for Your Skin
During The Summer Months
The summer months can feel like your in the Sahara desert. Dryness, dehydration and sunburn can occur due to a lack of hydration, water and moisture. Here are some helpful ways to combat and beat the harsh sun this summer.
1 2 3 4
Exfoliate for clearer skin. By exfoliating, this process will remove all of the dead skin and allows new healthier, rosy skin to be revealed. By removing the dead, dull skin, it will prevent buildup and improves hydration when applying moisturizer
Keep skin hydrated. Use intense masques for hydration at least once a week. Also, toners are a refreshing way to maintain moisture. This can be used during the day at work, the car, the gym or on the plane. A little spritz goes a long way.
5 6
Soothe over exposed skin. Apply soothing botanicals and natural cooling balms such as aloe vera to reduce inflammation, redness and peeling
Repair and treat sun damaged skin. UV light and harsh sunrays can cause premature aging, brown spots, coarse skin and wrinkles. This causes the lipids to become stripped, inflamed and reactive oxygen molecules are affected by preventing healthy cell growth, stimulate collagen-destructing enzymes. Use age fighting moisturizers and vitamin masks with ingredients such as licorice vitamin C, E and B5.
Drink plenty of water!! The high heat temperatures and time spent outdoors on the beach, cycling, etc, leads to internal dehydration. Drink eight ounces of filtered water everyday to maintain serious moisture balance of the body, which keeps your skin, hydrated and also detoxifies it as well.
Apply heavy amounts of sunscreen with high levels of SPF. Usually a teaspoon works well for the face and a shot glass full or more for the body. With so many sunscreens on the market, choose the type of sunscreen according to your skin type.

DEMARIOUS COL
Age: 20 Hometown: Huntsville Alabama When did you start your career? I really can’t remember a time I wasn’t singing so music has always been a major part of who I am but believe it or not I started my career in R&B 2 years ago. Can you compare your style to anyone in the game right now? I've always been compared to people like Usher, Chris Brown and Justin Timberlake which is definitely a huge honor because they are the ones I grew up watching and admiring. I’ve used that to push me harder in my creativity and artistry so I’m able to create my own lane just as they have done. I think with my new music you'll be able to hear the unique blend of being relevant with the new hip hop style but my own R&B swag on it. What would you consider to be your recognizable track? I think I have two songs that I'm most known for that are currently on the radio entitled "Freak Like That” and "Here Right Now.” "Freak Like That" has a modern radio hip hop club feel to it for anybody trying to bounce and turn up whereas "Here Right Now" brings a more R&B sexy side for ladies to dream about and hopefully a helpful tool for the fellas in their nightlife. At this point, what’s going on with you? any deals? At this point in my life, I’m really focused on music. My single "Freak Like That" is now playing on radio so to all my supporters please request it at your local radio stations. I will also drop some new music entitled the "PLAYLIST" so look out for that mid October. I'm constantly on the road performing and just really grinding trying to make myself known to every woman in the world. Lol. I've talked to a couple of people (independent labels) but I haven't signed with anyone yet. I really want to further expand my brand before I consider signing with someone so I can bring more to the table for that particular label.

8.What steps did you take in getting to the point you’re at now?
Man it’s a lot of hardwork put in to pursue your dream and there are many steps a person has to be willing to take but it all begins with faith. It takes a strong mind, perseverance and team that believe in you. A lot of people don't know I am a full time college student at Birmingham Southern on a football scholarship. Therefore, balancing football and school can be extremely demanding and time consuming so adding a singing career has taken it to another level so staying focus and finding a good balance has been important. Whether it is, late night rehearsals, workouts, recording, writing sessions, photo shoots, blogs, performing, literally whatever I can do to expand my brand, my team and I get it done. My first performance was opening up for "TGT" (Tyrese, Ginuwine, & Tank) after that so many doors begin open like performing at numerous dance competitions with DD4L from the Lifetime Show Bring It. From there we started meeting promoters and I’ve been able to share the stage for a lot of major artists such as, Chris Brown, Omarion, Ludacris, Rich Homie Quan, Mindless Behavior, Sevyn Streeter, Jordin Sparks, Kid Ink, Jacob Latimore and Anthony Lewis. 9.Who would be your ideal artist to work with? The ultimate dream would be to collab with one of my idols, Usher. It would be an incredible experience to work with him along with Chris Brown and Drake because it’s no denying that are some of the best to ever do it. 10.What is your ultimate career goal? I'd have to say my ultimate goal is to one day be able to do a world tour and it actually sell out both in the states and overseas. Something like what Michael and Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, Usher, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and so many others have been able to do. I want to be known in history as one of the greatest entertainers that ever lived.
