Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese Downtown Ephrata is beginning to put on its festive holiday appearance in preparation for Santa’s arrival next Friday, November 28 during the annual tree lighting ceremony and celebration. The Merchants, along with Ephrata National Bank, the Borough and countless volunteers, are busy planning a great event for the family. The beautiful Blue Spruce shown being set in place by Borough employees was generously donated by Jody Diffenderfer and her family from Akron, and will be officially lit at the event.

SaTurday, december 6 Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 11 Church Street, Brownstown, will hold a Life Nativity from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

SaTurday, december 6 A Christmas Bazaar will be held at the Mt. Airy Fire Hall, 880 Durlach Road, Stevens. It is sponsored by the In Memory of Angels in Heaven Relay For Life Team. Santa and vendors will be there. Food will be available. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
