The “Journey to Bethlehem” at Woodcrest Retreat is returning for its fourth season during two weekends, Friday, December 12, Saturday, December 13, Sunday, December 14, Friday, December 19, and Saturday, December 20. Since its beginning, over 6,000 guests have experienced the true meaning of Christmas in a spacious outdoor setting with dramatic actors,
a live nativity and real animals. The arrival time is Friday evening between 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday’s arrival time is between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The Woodcrest Retreat staff and 100 plus volunteers, invite guests of all ages to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of first

century Bethlehem, as they travel back in history. Participants will be welcomed to Woodcrest Retreat with over 300 luminaries lining the entrance and trails. After registering at the Census Registration and paying the “taxes” due on ages four and older, guests will board a wagon
ride to be transported to the first stop on the “Journey to Bethlehem”. All “taxes” must be paid by cash or check. Participants will become part of the story as they walk along with the Biblical characters. Each guest will receive items along the way (Continued On Page 5A)

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 16 The Ephrata Public Library and Ephrata Main Theatre are partnering for the preview of “The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies.” Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and movie begins at 7:00 p.m. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit the Ephrata Public Library.
