make a living fixing people’s video games, phones and computers.
In October of 2010, Tim’s spare-time hobby became a full-fledged business and Ephrata Computer & Electronics was born. Now, years later, the business has become Ephrata’s premier electronics shop. Ephrata Computer & Electronics’ services include: computer sales, service and repairs for laptops and desktops, cell phone repair services, including LCD replacements, speaker and microphone repair, phone unlocking services, and treatment of liquid and physical damage, along with repair services for video game consoles, iPads and more. Tim services most major brands of electronics, including products from Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, Sony, Motorolla, HP and many more.
Tim states that he has the unique ability to fix the “unfixable.” His distinctive talents enable him to recover data from any device. If another repair service says “no,” Tim and his equally knowledgeable employee, Tom, say “yes.” Tim goes on to say that many electronics manufacturers have made their technology even more complex over the years, because these businesses don’t want their products to be fixed, hoping that consumers will instead buy a new piece of equipment to replace the broken one. But with the help of Ephrata Computer & Electronics, the consumer can thwart the plans of these large corporations, breathing life back into their device for many years to come. It is these services that give Tim the most satisfaction, helping customers who have been scammed into buying a new device, rather than fixing what they have.
Let Ephrata Computer & Electronics help you in today’s technologically advanced world. Their knowledge of the industry and competitive prices will have you telling your friends of Tim’s wizardry, just like the friend with the broken Xbox! Ephrata Computer & Electronics is located at 10 North State Street, Ephrata. You can reach them at 717-721-1040 or through their website: ephratacomputer.com. The Reinholds VFW Post 6759 was started in 1947 so there would be a place for military members to come and enjoy each other’s company and to support those coming home from the war. The VFW is a familyfriendly small business whose main focus is supporting veterans and the community. They donate to numerous community events each year, as well as the bulk of their donations go to help local veterans in various ways, including offering medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes, potty chairs and shower chairs to those in need.
It takes four groups to insure the VFW survives: The Post, which is made up of military members, The Home Association, which is also made up of military members, but is separate from the post (this is the Canteen), The Auxiliary, which is made up of family members of military veterans and the social members (who are anyone who wants to enjoy the benefits of a membership, but doesn’t qualify for the other categories).
The Reinholds VFW is a close-knit group who has amazing members willing to donate their time to any cause. Some of the special fundraising events held throughout the year include two purse Bingos, selling chocolate covered strawberries and peanut butter and coconut eggs, paint nights and car shows. They also host Easter and Christmas parties for kids, have karaoke contests, veteran’s dinners, participate in Memorial Day parades and services, wreath laying and placing flags at cemeteries. Chicken BBQs are also held in the warmer months.
They also offer a variety of entertainment options for kids, families and night life including Senior Bingo, band nights/karaoke, kids’ karaoke and customer appreciation nights. The Canteen part of the VFW has breakfast served daily until 11:00 a.m. Sundays feature breakfast specials every week. There is also a full dinner menu with rotating weekly specials every Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Members enjoy Bingo and Bingo burgers every other Monday and Taco Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.
The bar offers a huge variety of beer, liquor, seltzers, ciders and non-alcoholic drinks. They have seven beers on tap and over 40 beers and seltzers in bottles and cans, as well as 10 different sodas. 50 different liquors are also offered.
The Reinholds VFW Post 6759 is truly a special place, as the staff has had very little turnover with some of the employees having worked there for over 10 years, some up to 25! The VFW gets many compliments about the staff often, “The staff is awesome. That’s what keeps people coming back,” “The staff is awesome. This place is like family. The Veteran support is phenomenal.” Many Veterans agree that it is the best VFW they’ve been to. “They are always so nice and helping the Veterans.” Steward and Auxiliary President, Britta Stuart thoroughly enjoys coming to work each day, “knowing what we do here and what we stand for is supporting Veterans. I love to see how our members get along, help each other and care about the VFW.” Other staff members include Jonathan Beaver, Quartermaster; Richard Sweigart, Home Association President; Matthew Fasnacht, Commander of Post; and Scott Fisher, Leonard Lausch and Larry Rutt, trustees.

Stone Barn Furniture is a full-line furniture store that is dedicated to its customer’s residential needs. Owner Marlin Martin states that the business started in 1972, when his parents Allen and Esther Martin decided to pursue their dream of bringing a higher quality of furniture to the Lebanon area than what was available. Originally farmers, Allen and Esther decided to turn their barn into a furniture store. The Martins also had friends in the furniture business, so they felt this gave them a head start in developing the company.
During the first two years of Stone Barn Furniture’s existence, the showroom consisted of a remodeled first floor and the second floor was used as a warehouse. As the business grew, they remodeled the second floor into a showroom and added storage space to the third floor.
As time went by, Marlin began to learn the ropes of the business and became the first full-time employee. Then in 1995, Marlin and his wife Marlene took over full ownership of Stone Barn Furniture. Just as his parents did, Marlin committed himself to providing customers with a relaxed atmosphere where the customer can browse at their leisure, without any pressure. Marlin and his staff strive to listen to the wishes of each customer, and they believe it is important to provide customers with quality furniture at affordable prices. Customer service has always been paramount.
Marlin has begun to groom his son Jeremy, along with his wife Kelly and their son Isaac, to take over the business. Marlin has infused his lifelong passion of serving the customer into his son and family and is confident his family can uphold the standard of excellence set by his parents well into the future.
Along with being known for excellent customer service, Stone Barn Furniture is also famous for carrying only top-of-the-line brands of furniture including: La-Z-Boy, Smith Brothers of Berne, Flexsteel, Mavin, along with furniture manufactured by reputable, local Amish manufacturers. Marlin states that he is very proud to primarily sell products that are made in America.
You can visit Stone Barn Furniture, and browse their inventory at 606 East Evergreen Road, Lebanon. They are open Monday, Thursday and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can reach them at 717-272-0441 or via their website: Stonebarnfurniture.com.

At a time when many larger banks are “going digital” and closing their brick-and-mortar branch offices, Bank of Bird-in-Hand remains focused on relationships and face-to-face interactions.
Since the bank’s beginning in 2013 with just ten employees and one branch, Bank of Bird-in-Hand has expanded to over 160 employees, seven branches, and a fleet of Mobile Branches - fully equipped RVs offering everything you’d find in any bank building. These “Gelt Buses” crisscross the country roads of Lancaster County, and beyond into Chester and Berks Counties. The Gelt Buses allow Bank of Bird-inHand to bring services to those who traditionally have been underserved by the banking industry, including Lancaster County’s Plain Community. The Bank continues to provide services, such as telephone banking and courier services, that have gone by the wayside at other banks.
And in those 11 years since its humble beginnings and initial $17 million in starting capital has grown to close to $1.6 billion in total assets.
In July 2021, Bank of Bird-in-Hand opened its Ephrata branch, located at 1759 West Main Street. Being a part of Ephrata community is just one of the draws to working at this Bank of Bird-in-Hand location. “I love the strong sense of community in Ephrata – its rich history and charming small-town feel,” shares Jaime Reid, Business Development Officer. Being able to make meaningful connections and build relationships with customers is certainly another. “Our customers have become our friends, and we become invested in their success. Banking in our community has changed tremendously in my 24 years in this business. It is refreshing to work for a company that places relationship banking first. We connect and work with our customers on a personal level to find solutions that reach customer expectations each time.”
Bank of Bird-in-Hand’s Ephrata Branch is open Monday through Saturday. You can also catch the Gelt Buses on the road and stationed at Nolt’s Greenhouse Supply (Ephrata) on Mondays, Root’s Market (Manheim) on Tuesdays, Vibrant Church (Terre Hill) on Wednesdays, and Meadowcreek BBQ Supply (New Holland) on Thursdays. For a full list of branch locations, lobby and drive-up hours, and the Gelt Bus schedule, visit www.bihbank.com.

Hyperbaric oxygenation therapy + Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field Therapy = a powerful combination! Hyperbaric oxygenation therapy (HBOT) is a prescribed medical treatment. A patient breathes pure oxygen in a sealed chamber while the surrounding pressure is increased to a therapeutic level. The increase in pressure dissolves oxygen into the bloodstream and all the fluids of the body. The treatment triggers hundreds of internal biological processes and helps your body to heal from injury. HBOT builds tiny new blood vessels, boosts the immune system and stem cell production, adversely affects many microbes (bacteria) and reduces inflammation. Areas that have poor blood flow can receive oxygen and helps those areas heal. This can have a positive impact on a wide range of diagnoses and conditions. Radiation-induced injuries, osteomyelitis, and non-healing diabetic wounds, among other maladies, can be healed with minimal surgical intervention. Other diagnoses can be positively helped with HBOT when traditional medicine needs a boost. When antibiotics alone can’t cure a Lyme disease infection, under hyperbaric oxygenation conditions, the Lyme bacteria can’t survive. The immune system cleans up the dead bacteria and the body begins to repair the damage caused by the bacteria. HBOT can be life changing for patients.
Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) is a non-invasive therapy that helps improve circulation, energy balance, and nutrient uptake. We offer the combination of therapies for the health benefits of our patients.
We are an outpatient clinic that uses 100% oxygen in monoplace chambers, the same style of chambers that many hospitals use. The Nursing Director, Connie Waltz, RN, has over 40 years of experience in the field. For information, please call 717-684-3228, visit HBOXYGEN.COM, or email: hboxygen@earthlink. net. LawnBros LLC is a locally owned business providing lawn and landscape services in Ephrata and the surrounding areas. At a young age, owner and entrepreneur Brock Keener had a vision of creating a full-service lawn care business to create beautiful outdoor spaces and serve his community.
It all started in 2012, when Brock first used a push mower at nine years old. He liked the experience so much that he decided to start a lawn care business with his older brother, Branson. They went door to door through their neighborhood, offering their services to anyone who was interested. To help brand themselves, they named their growing business “LawnBros.” In the early years, both brothers were too young to drive, so their parents drove them around in their minivan to serve weekly mowing customers.
Years later, in 2019, Brock realized he had a unique passion to serve people in this way and took sole ownership of the business. That same year he added an LLC to make the business official.
Once he graduated from Ephrata High School in 2022, Brock decided to make his lawn and landscape business his full-time occupation. Brock’s vision was for LawnBros to become a household name known for high-quality service, excellent communication, and outstanding attention to detail. The business’ mission is to provide value to every customer through quality lawn and landscaping services. Brock states, “Each year my team and I work hard to make properties beautiful. We strive to put the customer first in everything we do and always love serving the community in this way. We give all glory and praise to God for guiding the business to this point. We eagerly anticipate the future and the incredible plans He has in store for us!”
Today, LawnBros is a full-service property maintenance company, offering customers lawn mowing, lawn treatments, mulching, hedge and tree trimming, power washing, stump removal, spring and fall clean-up services, and snow removal. They offer very competitive prices to provide the best value for their customers.
LawnBros can be reached via phone at 717-471-9671, through their website: Lawnbros. com, via email at contact@lawnbros.com or through their Facebook page. Unruh, who had a vision of helping people with personal, reliable insurance solutions. In 1992, ownership was passed down to his two sons, Curt and Kent. Starting in 2025, Katie Unruh Vang and Ryan Unruh (Curt’s daughter and son) took over. Katie takes part ownership with 21 years of experience while Ryan takes part ownership with 15 years of experience. They are both CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designated. Whether you need a routine maintenance check or an emergency repair, The Witmer Company, located at 286 Locust Street, New Holland, is available to handle all of your family’s plumbing, heating, cooling, sewer and drain, water conditioning and indoor quality needs. They continually strive to exceed customers’ expectations.
Roy and Dorothy Witmer founded the company in 1941 with the simple purpose of delivering high quality service at a reasonable price for the community. As the company has continued to grow, their values have never changed. They continue to maintain relationships with each customer. Most of their customers have been with them for over 10 years, if not for life.
Their employees are extremely dedicated as well. A majority of them have been with the company for the majority of their careers. A review from a customer named Scott confirms the high quality and longevity of the employees, “For the last 15 years, we have used Witmer to service our existing system, which they also installed, and we have NEVER had one complaint with any of their technicians. In fact, the technician, Eric, who installed the York system 15 years ago, was the same technician who also just installed our new Amana system. How often does that happen? Speaks volumes for Witmer’s employee retention. Eric and his co-worker, Luis, were very professional and courteous and left our house as clean as it was when they started. We can highly recommend them for any of your HVAC needs.”
Current President Jeffrey K. Henshaw has been in the HVAC industry for over 30 years. He has gone from estimating residential and commercial work, to now being a co-owner with Vice President Andrew McClure. Andrew has been with The Witmer Company for the last 40 years, starting as a technician to a service manager. They are both directly involved with the company and deal directly with customers. Karen Mull serves as the Office Manager. She manages all aspects of the office and the company literally could not function without her. The name “Hursh’s Country Store” is a misnomer. The reason being is that Hursh’s Country Store is actually two stores, side-byside! Located at 2425 West Main Street, Ephrata, Hursh’s started out at building A (on the right hand side) in the fall of 2014. A few years later, owners Carl and Lori Hursh purchased the building next door (building B) and utilized Carl’s background in construction to renovate an older landmark home into a vital addition to their business.
Ironically, it was Carl’s background in construction that led him to open Hursh’s. Carl’s construction job kept him from the most important part of his life... his family. The Hursh’s thought that if they could open a store near their home, they would be rewarded with more time together. Their dream soon became a reality, and Hursh’s Country Store was born.
The two buildings house different products. Building A boasts “Farmhouse Style” décor, featuring products from P. Graham Dunn, along with traditional wall-art (with much of it made in the U.S.A.), and a large selection of gospel and Christian CDs, many of which are recorded by local musicians. Building B has more utilitarian home products, including housewares and sewing machines and sewing products. Hursh’s Country Store is one of the only PFAFF product dealers in the area. Building B also has a large selection of retro-style toys for children of all ages. Recently, Hursh’s has started to carry E-bikes and electric scooters.
Carl states that it’s the ability to provide quality PFAFF sewing machines and products to his customers in order for them to fabricate their own clothing, and that has taken his business to the next level. They also do repair work on all makes and models of sewing machines. Carl says that in a day and age where online shopping is commonplace, he enjoys providing his customers with a store where it’s fun to shop, because he feels people still enjoy shopping in person. Hursh’s Country Store can be reached at 717-721-2575.

Did you know that many house fires start as a result of a poorly functioning and unsafe chimney? Carbon monoxide can also leak into your home through damaged and deteriorated liners.
Solid Flue Chimney Savers are able to restore your chimney back to safe, working order without a complete teardown of the chimney. They have several relining options to choose from depending on the situation.
Solid Flue is a unique chimney lining system ideally suited to reline and restore old, damaged or worn out chimney flues. Solid Flue is a registered and patented trade name with a network of chimney lining professionals. It was featured on the TV show, “This Old House,” many times. Through a unique process, a properly sized rubber bladder is dropped down the chimney and spaced evenly, and then a patented solid flue material is poured around the formers and left overnight to properly cure. Solid Flue is a zero clearance liner meaning heat doesn’t transfer through the liner to combustible materials surrounding the chimney. The liner comes with a lifetime warranty.
Solid Flue can also reline your existing masonry chimney with a flexible stainless steel liner. This liner, depending on the severity of the damage, may be an option. This liner also comes with a lifetime warranty.
Solid Flue Chimney Savers was started in 1990 by Mark Federer, whose experience includes stone and brick masonry and roofing. Over the years, the company has seen a rising trend towards more wood and pellet heating systems being used as alternative heat sources. Solid Flue Chimney Savers can also perform camera inspections to verify the condition of the flue, masonry repairs and installation of accessories like caps and air sealing top mounted dampers, making sure chimneys are safe for families to use. They are capable of bringing new life to chimneys that are new or more than 200 years old. They are also specialized in working with insurance claims resulting from chimney fires, lightning strikes, wind and other storm-related damage. The staff at Solid Flue Chimney Savers is very professional and courteous and will help you protect your property like it was their very own. Solid Flue Chimney Savers is located at 40 D. North Water Street, Lititz. Their hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

AFP advanced food products llc is one of North America’s leading aseptic private label/co-pack food manufacturers of innovative, shelf-stable cheese sauces, dips, puddings, sauces and soups. As a result of our seasoned employees and thriving workplace environment, we consistently provide the best value and service to our customers.
Making its start in the 1940s, AFP is a pioneer in aseptic manufacturing and has been using aseptic food processing methods since 1951. Aseptic technology uses ultra-high temperatures and a short heating time to preserve freshness and nutrition. The product and the packaging are sterilized separately and then combined and sealed in a sterilized atmosphere. This process extends shelf life and does not require the use of preservatives.
At AFP we have been experiencing sustained growth and continual expansion. One of the most notable changes in our industry has been the increased difficulty in staffing. With unemployment so low in Lancaster County, finding employees with the necessary skills is increasingly competitive. Our company provides the perfect setting for qualified job seekers wanting to join us in this far-reaching industry. Due to our expansion, AFP currently has many job opportunities in maintenance, packaging, processing and sanitation positions.
We are working with the Chamber of Commerce and the Workforce Development Board on ways to change the perception that manufacturing is a dead-end job. AFP is working towards changing the conversation at schools and with parents about the viability of these skilled jobs. This is a national issue that is being faced by many companies. We are committed to being proactive and coordinating our efforts within the community in order to build a strong economic basis for Lancaster County.
With three strategically located facilities—in New Holland, Pennsylvania, Clear Lake, Wisconsin and Visalia, California—our triangulated placement gives us access to convenient distribution channels nationally and internationally. We offer our customers unrivaled logistical advantages regardless of size or industry.
AFP is continually striving to improve the way we do things so we can create a better environment and continue our long-lasting expansion. We are committed to fostering proactive and innovative leadership, delivering market-driven solutions and adding value through dedication to our customers’ success. Come join the AFP team and see for yourself what makes us stand apart from the competition.

When you are involved in an auto accident, finding a repair shop you can trust
We believe in standing up for correct repairs and not cutting corners. We take training and education very seriously and hold each other accountable every day. S&A Paint and Repair is not a direct repair shop for any insurance company, which means only the professional technicians are dictating what repairs are needed to put your family safely back on the road. Not all shops are the same, and in Pennsylvania, customers have the right to choose the repair shop that makes them feel most comfortable.
S&A Paint and Repair are active members in Northern Chambers and RPP groups. They are Ford Certified and hold I-Car Gold certifications. Bill, Megan and team members love being involved in community events and are very active with the American Cancer Society.
S&A Paint and Repair hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They can be reached at 717-627-0011 or you may view their website at www.sapaintandrepair.com.
