CVCCS has a fully-stocked food pantry that families can access monthly. Our clothing bank offers gently-used apparel, shoes, coats and new underwear and socks. What is your service area? Our food bank, Back on Track program and our Weekend Blessings programs serve the Conestoga Valley School District and anyone who attends church regularly in that area regardless of where they live. Our clothing bank extends county wide. Anyone within Lancaster County may visit our clothing bank. How has the COVID-19 crisis impacted your organization? When the effects of COVID began to hinder the way we served our clients we needed to come up with alternative ways to distribute food to those in need. This became our top priority. We began pre-packing food orders that could be picked up at our building. This limited contact for both clients and volunteers allowed us to continue to serve those in need. Within the first month we saw a 67% increase of families in need who were able to access our services. We had to close our clothing bank but we are happy to say that zations, and opportunities to mobilize resources. 6. Integrity – Being honest, accountable, and trustworthy in all that we do.

Mission Statement: Jan’s Circle of Friends’ mission is to assist children affected by domestic violence and parental loss. The pain of experiencing domestic violence or losing a parent due to death or incarceration is devastating to a child and will change their life forever. Jan’s Circle of Friends has partnered with various organizations throughout our local community, including Good Samaritan Services - Ephrata; Pathways Center for Grief and Loss - Lancaster; Domestic Violence Services - Lancaster; Cocalico, Conrad Weiser and Muhlenberg School Districts; Olivia’s House - York; Safe Berks - Reading and many more. A financial donation will definitely help our local children and allow these much-needed programs to continue. Every year 3 to 4 million children in the United States are at risk of exposure to domestic violence and 2+ million children have a parent incarcerated and these numbers only continue to rise during this COVID-19 pandemic. agency employing 35 staff and supporting 80 clients. Our Senior Center remains closed at this time and we were forced to close our Lebanon facility permanently.

How has the COVID-19 crisis impacted your organization? As directed by the PA Department of Human Services and the Lancaster Office of Aging, we were unable to continue services offered in our three facilities, which lasted for a period of approximately 3½ months. We are a family of disciples that connect to, grow in, live out, and radiate the transformative power of Jesus in the world.

We believe we are called to be lights sharing the love of Jesus. We wish to live out our call as disciples through acts of service and ministry to the community of Ephrata and beyond, such as: Backpacks for Kids, Coats for Kids, providing lunches and/or coffee to school faculty, healthcare workers and our local police. We offered neighborhood Pop Up Ice Cream Parties. Partnering with Javateas, free coffee was offered to women on Mother’s Day & free BBQ meals were given to men for Father’s Day. We desire to build bridges in our community by supporting local food banks and various organizations and groups that care for the most vulnerable. We host the Ephrata PowerPacks Program, which provides food for area families and for many years we’ve provided our July 4th Community Fun Night event. How have we been impacted by COVID-19? The impact of the pandemic has pushed us to think outside the box. We’ve implemented new and fresh ways of doing ministry and serving the community. Through it all, we are blessed and continue to reach out to help those in need in our community. How can the community help ECOB? Pray for us. Help Serve. As you see ministries or events we offer, pray for us and contact us if you can help in any way. We also join with other leaders and ministries to advance life-affirming outreach in our region, state, and nation, and develop leadership resources to equip others to align with God for life.

How can the community help your organization? We always welcome delivery volunteers and phone consultants. Other ways to help are by donating any of the following items (in date) or by making a financial donation: Canned fruit, canned soup, canned vegetables, baked beans, canned potatoes or yams, spaghetti sauce, spaghetti pasta, assorted kinds of plain pasta, instant mashed potatoes, Jell-o and pudding mix, gravy and broth, mac and cheese, rice - white or brown, flavored rice or pasta mixes, helpers (hamburger, chicken, tuna), mini-meals What is your service area? Our Align Pregnancy Service locations in Columbia, Ephrata, Lancaster and Lebanon primarily serve residents of Lancaster and Lebanon counties. Our partnerships and resources aspects of ministry serve people locally and beyond. How has the COVID-19 crisis impacted your organization? By the grace of God, we’ve been able to serve clients steadily through the COVID-19 crisis. Initially, we streamlined our broad offering of baby supplies to the essentials: diapers, formula and wipes. We lifted the requirement that a person had to be a client of ours to receive those things. We delivered bundles of babycare essentials to clients’ doorsteps and began holding our classes online to keep things moving for our pregnant clients. Our post-abortion ministry also grew as clients had more time on their hands for Bible study, to process their abortion experience and to heal. Through the generosity of local churches and individuals, we’ve been able to provide thousands of packages of diapers, wipes and formula to young families who needed them. Of the new young families served, 250 of them decided to become our clients. This is an unprecedented

how we stayed connected with students and faculty. With the use of Zoom, TNT staff met with students online and also joined classrooms to encourage and spread hope. Likewise, TNT also offered pastoral counseling to those who were struggling with anxiety and depression. How can the community help your organization? TNT is always in need of prayer support, volunteers to help run our youth centers, and financial assistance. If you are interested in being on our prayer team or volunteering, please contact us at office@tntyouthministry.com. How has the COVID-19 crisis impacted your organization? As a result of the restrictions due to COVID-19, H*VMI’s in-person ministry was postponed in March of 2020. This

How has the COVID-19 crisis impacted your organization? The Office of Commonwealth Libraries made the difficult decision in March to shut down all public libraries throughout our commonwealth. Because so many of our services are offered in-person, we had to immediately adapt the way we serve our community. Our library promoted our eBook and eAudiobook collections, as well as our online resources, and we made it easier than ever for individuals to obtain a library card to access these materials from home. We transitioned to no-contact self-pickup services to provide books, movies, and other materials to our neighbors in the safest way possible. We continue to add services, such as providing Take and Make bags and offering brief appointments to browse for materials. Our staff is continually rethinking how libraries work so we can better serve the public.

We are all in this together, and we will get through it together.

included Bible Clubs, Support Groups and Handi*Camp. In addition to increasing personal contact by phone, during the Red Phase, we opened an online meeting room for our Handi*Campers who could “drop in” anytime to chat. In the Yellow Phase, we began an outdoor, Drive in Bible Club we dubbed, “Bible Lesson on the Lawn,” held in Akron, PA. We used an FM transmitter to broadcast music, lesson and prayers to the participants’ car radios. In the Green Phase we restarted our support groups in several locations with an outdoor socially distanced format. How can the community help your organization? The best method of help that is accessible to everyone is prayer. Another way you could help is through volunteering with our camp program, Bible clubs and/or in a variety of other areas. H*VMI is a ministry supported primarily by donations. If you feel led by the Lord to give, please visit hvmi.org/donate. H*VMI also participates in the Lancaster County Extra Give Day. Check out extragive.org on November 20th! Contact Information: Kyle Robinson, Executive Director – 717-859-4777 Website: hvmi.org Address: P.O. Box 122, Akron, PA 17501

How can the community help your organization? Our library self-generates 60% of its operating budget in order to serve our community. Only 40% of our funding comes from state and local municipalities. Because of the COVID-19 crisis, we had to cancel our Auction Gala in 2020, which was to be our main fundraising event. We welcome monetary donations from the community in any amount and will be participating in the 2020 ExtraOrdinary Give. We also have an Amazon Wish List that includes books and other materials we need to keep the library running. Website: elancolibrary.org Address: 11 Chestnut Drive, New Holland, PA 17557

Mission Statement: Friendship Community is a faith-based organization cultivating capabilities of Individuals with Intellectual Disability and Autism (ID/A). The Vision of Friendship Community is Impacting the World with Capabilities. What programs do you provide? Friendship Community supports over 200 Adults with ID/A through three day programs, home-based services, Lifesharing and 27 residential homes. Meaningful Day Academy (MDA) is an innovative, personalized and tiered program that provides purposeful daytime opportunities through discovery, exploration, volunteerism and relationships. The Friendship Heart Studio is a creative arts program that celebrates personalities and talents

EPHRATA AREA SOCIAL SERVICES Mission Statement: Ephrata Area Social Services (EASS) is a non-profit organization supporting neighbors in need throughout the Ephrata and Cocalico regions of Northern Lancaster County. Our assistance programs include the Hand UP Exchange Food & Clothing Bank, Ephrata/Cocalico Meals on Wheels, Transportation Services, and Community Support Services. Our mission is to channel resources effectively through the collaboration of our partnering health and human service organizations to improve the lives of the residents in northern Lancaster County. Together, we can build a stronger community for all. What programs do you provide? EASS offers four core programs: Hand UP Exchange Food and Clothing Bank – clients call to schedule their half hour appointments to use the food and clothing bank. We are a client-choice pantry, which means clients shop the Bank like a grocery store, making their own selections based on what they know their family eats. After the family finishes selecting their food, they may also shop the Clothing Bank for shoes, clothes or other household items they may need. Our Hand UP

Mission Statement: The Ephrata Public Library’s mission is to provide resources and to promote opportunities for everyone seeking to improve, change, enrich and enjoy their lives. We are also the parent organization for the Northern Lancaster Hub, which is a collective of over 20 organizations working hard to make sure residents are safe, housed, fed and live productive lives.

through free expression and collaboration. Lastly, the 27 residential homes provide 24/7 support while assisting Individuals with their social and independent living skills in home-like settings. What is your service area? Since 1972, Friendship Community has supported Adults with ID/A in both Lancaster and Lebanon Counties. The Heart Gallery and Studio is located at 118 North Water Street in downtown Lancaster, while the Lititz Gallery is located at 235 Bloomfield Drive. How has the COVID-19 crisis impacted your organization? Because of the restrictions and precautions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Friendship Community has endured financial impacts; our main fundraising events have been rescheduled, re-established as virtual and even cancelled. It has also been challenging at times to find adequate personal protective equipment and necessary cleaning supplies. With the immediate closure of all Day Programs, Team Members flexed their roles and learned new computer software and equipment to enable residents to communicate with family and friends. iPads were utilized for communication, education and unique activities.

We are exploring new ways to champion MDA participants in their meaningful days and are also planning to reopen the Art Studio, which was recently reconfigured to meet COVID-19 requirements. Gallery art pieces remain available for purchase online. How can the community help your organization? Friendship Community is grateful for the encouragement of our surrounding communities as we journey together. We greatly appreciate your partnership and financial support in order to maintain our quality programming. We appreciate your continued prayers for health, safety and patience of the Individuals and their Family Members supported, as well as our Team Members. Finally, we ask you to share our story with your family and friends to gain partners, volunteers, Team Members and advocates to fulfill our Mission. Contact Information: Sherri Colton, Director of Advancement – (717) 656-2466, ext. 1151; scolton@friendshipcommunity.net Website: www.friendshipcommunity.net; www.friendshipart.net Address: 1149 East Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543

Exchange is for those with an income ranging from below the poverty level and up to 200% above the poverty level. However, if a family from any background or any income level truly needs food, we will never turn anyone away. Cocalico-Ephrata Meals on Wheels Program – this program operates out of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Main Street, Ephrata, and serves on average 60 clients per day. A hot and a cold meal are offered daily and are delivered by a large team of dedicated volunteers. This program is so much more than just delivering food. Volunteers have the opportunity to check on each client to ensure they are safe and healthy. They build meaningful relationships and help to eliminate that social isolation many homebound seniors face. Community Support Services – this program is our “social services” arm of the organization. This program assists families on their path to stability and sustainability. Some emergency financial assistance is provided, as well as connections to resources to help families with all other needs that they may have. Transportation Program – EASS has two minivans in its fleet as well as an 11-passenger minibus. Anyone living within our service area may call to schedule a ride to their appointments, grocery stores, etc. Our paid staff of drivers will do everything possible to ensure timely services. The 11 passenger minibus serves as our “public transportation” with established bus stops at designated times in Denver, Reamstown, and Ephrata, including WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital. Our Transportation program is a free service available to anyone. Donations are appreciated, but not required.

What is your service area? Cocalico School District and Ephrata Area School District How has the COVID-19 crisis impacted your organization? We are seeing a greater influx of those who are homeless. Additionally, people are struggling to pay their rent and utility bills and they are worried about the future. We have added a social worker to our staff to better support and provide solutions to those struggling. How can the community help your organization? We are always seeking volunteers to help in our Hand UP Exchange area and Meals on Wheels. We also look for volunteers willing to assist with at-home necessities like lawn mowing, minor house repairs, minor car repairs, etc. EASS relies on its communities for financial help as well. We highly value our neighbors because it is our neighbors who make it possible to help families in need and to keep our doors open. Contact Information: Joy N. transition services, specialized training, and adult training for daily living skills.

Mission Statement: Founded in 1975, Lighthouse Vocational Services is a 501c3 charitable organization with a mission to provide vocational services and adult training for persons with developmental disabilities to promote personal growth, opportunity and hope for their future. Established upon Christ-centered values and principles, we believe that God created each individual with value and a purpose for life. This is the driving force of the organization as we provide opportunity for adults with mental and physical challenges to develop greater independence and meaning in their lives. What programs do you provide? Lighthouse serves over 170 adults with different abilities by offering on-site vocational training, employment services, community participation services, student

What is your service area? Our work-based facility is located in New Holland, Pennsylvania. We transport individuals to and from our facility to their residences in Berks, Chester, Lancaster, and Lebanon counties. How has the COVID-19 crisis impacted your organization? During the COVID-19 crisis, our facility-based work ceased temporarily, and we lost a significant amount of revenue. We also lost the opportunity to provide daily jobs, routines, and living skills for persons with disabilities in our community and beyond. However, we quickly began integrating creative technology to stay connected and support our participants through remote learning services. Lighthouse was and continues to be a leading organization in our region in making these services available and spanning different interests and skills including cooking, art, exercise, Bible, social skills, music, gardening classes, etc. We have also provided work assessments for young adults and students during this time. As an organization in this crisis and beyond, we are committed to following

the guidelines set by the state to ensure the safety of our participants. We have now reopened our facility and are serving individuals there in alignment with CDC and ODP safety requirements. How can the community help your organization? Financial contributions from our community are much appreciated! Due to lost revenue and waylaid fundraising events due to the temporary shut-down, Lighthouse continues exploring creative ways to bring in funds. Donations currently help us expand our remote training services program, help with re-opening costs including safety and PPE equipment, and assist with general operating funds. We are also open to partnering with more businesses who need our work crews for essential services like cleaning and lawn care during this time.
