The Scottish Landscape Institute is a politically independent, philanthropic trust devoted to idea of protection, conservation and the enhancement of the natural and built environment. They work to promote the creative planning, design and management of rural and urban landscape from the wilderness to the city.
The project entails the comprehensive design of this public building to be located on one of
eight selected sites within a historically established context within the city of Glasgow.
The nature and scope of the project is such that it anticipate, if not necessitate a holistic approach to the conception, development and presentation of design strategies.

d
- The area which include the site has a lot of characters. Low-rise housings, High-rise tenements, Queens Park... - The building as a termination of continual tenements and ttransitional space between Queens Park, High-rise tenements and low-rise housing. - The relationship of some green spaces in the area. Dotted small green space in the area. - The contrast between pollokshaw street and back yard. Also the three dead-end lanes has different language from the main street. - Paying attention to relationship with hight of trees. Gradual change

Firstly, through the analysis of the site context, the new building became “L” shaped outline which include courtyard #1 To make enough green space which enveloped the building it was enlarged #2 Glass house was adhered at the corner of the site #3 Before this section of design the building, open-space (grass field, nature space) and the building was independent. However each space was combined in to one “O” shaped building #4 To create more familiar scale to people and arrange three different types courtyard, the “O” shaped one courtyard was divided #5 Considering the rain harvesting system and aesthetics of horizontal sequence these roofs were pitched #6
