If luxury was determined by the size of the rooms, you would be residing in a small palace. The Buddhas and various statues dotted everywhere never cease to remind you of the tranquility of this house. The living rooms are all connected and flow easily into each other, with a comfortable TV room with deep leather armchairs, an outdoor garden, perfect for relaxing in after a swim and a seating area for lying under the sun in the shade of the house. For dining, there is an outside terrace, with a pretty square table, shaded from the sun by an overhanging roof and for perfect grills, there is a bar bq at your fingertips. If you had to choose the centerpiece of the house, it would have to be the outside space. To start with, there is the pool, or more exactly the pools, as they are set over two levels. The top is perfect for simply bathing, or for children to paddle in and play games. The lower level is a lap pool for those who prefer to swim lengths. All round, various areas have been designed for relaxing in the sun. The lower deck has loungers that brush against the greenery and set slightly away from the house there is a lounge corner with mattresses and cushions. Protected by a grove of cacti, it is another small corner of paradise. Like a “mise en abîme” of the house itself.
Les chambres sont au nombre de trois. Si elles disposent chacune de larges douches à l’italienne, de terrasses et de Jacuzzis privatifs, elles sont meublées avec goût (lampes Artemide, fauteuils et chaise longue Le Corbusier...) mais avec un certain minimalisme, ceci afin de profiter de l’immensité des pièces. Car si le luxe se calcule au volume des espaces, alors vous allez pouvoir profiter d’un petit royaume! Un peu partout, des bouddhas et statues diverses n’ont de cesse de vous rappeler la quiétude des lieux. Les salons se suivent et permettent de rythmer la distribution des lieux, avec un confortable salon TV aux profonds fauteuils de cuir, un jardin outdoor pour lézarder en sortie de piscine, un dernier enfin permettant de s’offrir un coucher de soleil à l’abri de la maisonnée. Pour les repas, on avoue un faible pour la terrasse extérieure, avec sa belle table carrée abritée du soleil grâce à une généreuse protection offerte par une avancée du toit. A portée de main, on trouve du reste un barbecue pour des grillades bienvenues. S’il fallait vraiment choisir une pièce maîtresse, on craquerait pour son espace extérieur. Il y a d’abord sa piscine, ou plutôt ses piscines, étagées sur deux niveaux. La première permet de se baigner en toute simplicité - on peut la voir comme une pataugeoire où laisser vaquer les enfants à leurs jeux d’eau -, la seconde est un couloir de nage pour ceux qui préfèrent aligner les longueurs. Autour, divers espaces ont été conçus pour profiter d’un farniente ensoleillé. Le deck du bas offre des chaises longues qui viennent lécher la végétation endémique ; un coin plus loungy avec matelas et coussins a été aménagé, lui, légèrement en surplomb et en retrait de la propriété. Protégé par un bosquet de cactus, il est un autre petit coin de paradis. Comme une mise en abîme de la maison elle-même.
