Uganda medical volunteers is medical based project for students in the health and medical fields. Aimed at providing interns with on hands skills and practice in the a real hospital setup. This project also aims at helping interns to develop medical interventions that can empower the community they will be working in.

 Provide support to health delivery for the in and out patients at the health facility.  The intern shall engage in minor health procedures such as surgery as will be required from time to time.  Participate in community health outreach programs like immunization, VCT, cancer screening and health training and campaigns.  Counseling of patients and provision of related support as may be required.  Administrative work as may be required.  Interrelate and network with several people of different works in life.

“Change the Way You Travel, and Help Change the World� ASTCF is a civil society organization (NonGovernmental Organization –NGO) that has been established with diverse and holistic approach to promote innovative sustainable tourism practices that are geared to alleviate poverty, empower local communities, fight gender inequality, encourage conservation of cultural and natural heritage and foster sustainable development through tourism.

-The intern will be given a chance to work in any of the different programs of the project listed below: Health program: intern will help in the fields of aids prevention and control, sanitation and hygiene seminars, hospital and clinic support, health education and medical outreach. -Entrepreneurship: intern will help in empowering women and the girl child on entrepreneurship, business training and consultation, village savings and loan programs. -AGRO TOURISM: Agro tourism is increasingly gaining ground as an alternative source of income for rural communities, at the same time protecting the environmental resources. We all know that tourism is well recognized as an engine of economic growth. It has great capacity to generate employment and also offer alternative sources of income to rural communities. The concept of traditional tourism is however changing. New forms of tourism have emerged i.e. agro tourism. -COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: Africa Sustainable Tourism Foundation (ASTCF) provides training and expertise and other consultancy services to assist village communities and entrepreneurs to identify and analyze their natural, historical and cultural heritage resources, and to develop them into appropriate, viable and sustainable new tourism attractions, facilities, services and experiences that will meet the needs and expectations of various market sectors. The intern will be a mentor and facilitator for the projects participants. The intern will also give lectures about social entrepreneur, saving, investment, risk management and business plan to the students. THE BIASHARA BUS CAMPAIGN is a social entrepreneurship project in Uganda that was started by the youth in AIESEC KYAMBOGO to help the youth/young generation in the country by providing them with entrepreneurship skills, career guidance and raise awareness among them. The youth being the largest population in the country, they were targeted in order to impact them in entrepreneurship by fellow young people so that they can impact the country at a younger stage.

The intern will prepare the session for the students regarding social entrepreneurship and business plan issue. The intern may use the good case practice and current condition from their country. The intern will organize learning circles and group discussions with English as medium of instruction to encourage students improve their soft skill and their entrepreneurial competencies. Preparing content for workshops and events based on entrepreneurship field and run the events. Together with team the intern will assess the performance of the project and write a detailed report at the end of the project.

This is an Environmental Conservation Project which entails teaching and educating communities, Schools about operations of ecosystems and how best these Ecosystems can be conserved/preserved. In Uganda, so many people lack education on how to preserve the environment and that is why, the weather which is very nice has started to change as result of deforestation amongst others.

-The intern will be required in sensitization on environmental conservation in the surrounding communities. -Presentations to community leaders about the environment and the benefits of conserving it. Planting of trees in several areas. -Intern is required to help in project management and administrative work, finding partner companies to help in the project -Research, plan, design and prepare workshop, learning activities, campaigns, game set to promote the issues of Environmental conservation in high schools and the surrounding communities. Involve students during the training in the making of a match in town to sensitize residents about the project, eco-friendly practices and environmental conservation. Engage the children in expressing their ideas. -Mobilize the villagers to come for the Eco-Training as well as for the demonstrations (energy saving cook stoves and biogas construction) that are going to take place in the Model Village. -Manage the fundraising activities of the organisation, meet government, NGO, Corporate officials in order to promote the organization activities and initiatives. Organize a seed or seedling collection campaign in schools and surrounding villages, so as to be used in the tree planting campaign. Take part in a recycled art workshop at the Weaver Bird community (http://weaverbirdartuganda.com/), promoting recycling activities and better waste management in the village. -Organize sport tournaments in Masaka town involving the community, students, volunteers from other organizations as well as partners to fundraise for biogas construction and briquettes machine maker.

HAKUNA MATATA is a child based project aimed at helping the disadvantaged, orphans and the neglected children in the community of Uganda to have the right education like other children in the country. The intern will help in Self-discovery and self-awareness activities (help children to understand who are they, among the others)

 Intern will be required to showcase his/her culture to the children and teach about their lifestyle  To collect supplementary information from the children and parents in order to be enrolled into the MILE CHILD Foundation under privileged children support scheme Program.  Reach outs to disadvantaged children families in our community of operation as to make connection reference to MILE CHILD Foundation support resources.  Developing fundraising strategy and setting priorities, goals and budgets; researching and identifying potential donors, cultivating potential donors and communicating with current donors; and writing proposal to obtain grants and preparing presentations to deliver to potential donors and key stakeholders.  Construction at the children's center for improvement. (building, painting, roofing, digging)  The intern is given the freedom to innovate and implement new and effective techniques which can aid the children to understand their subjects like drawing, writing and many more.  The intern is responsible for documenting the changes/improvements observed in the kids and teachers, and prepares a report for the same if required.

SINA project promotes sustainability and development in a number of fields for a wealthy future. Different aspects in the different fields are being discussed that promote development in different societies.

SINA is in constant need of support through volunteers and interns in the following areas: IT (Web management, Graphical design, E-marketing): Network and server set-up and maintenance, design of content for publications, logos for SINA social businesses, website design and management of the SINA website and SINA social business websites and their promotion online. Business Administration: Mentoring SINA scholars in business basics, business creation, project management, marketing, financials, etc. Psychology and Coaching: Support is needed to work on individual basis with scholars but also on group dynamics, team building, mediation and setting goals through (life) coaching. The SINA structure is open for new ideas and the intern/ volunteer can bring him/herself in also in any other eld. Education and Pedagogy: bringing alternative educational methods into SINA (e.g. Non-violent Communication, experiential learning, transformative education, theatre of the oppressed etc Agriculture, Agro-business and Permaculture:

Africa is known for its great economic potential, with the largest registered number of start-ups. However these don’t usually last long, with most of them collapsing within a year from their creation. This is due to a variety of reasons including the incapability of the start-ups to adopt to the the ever changing trends as well as set standards. With this project, we aim to increase the use of technology and other innovative means so as to aid with the sustainability of these economic ventures and in turn increase economic productivity.

1st week. -The interns will receive training from the Codinex staff within the bounds of the project to equip them with the necessary skills to run it. -Codinex computers will provide all the required information required for the running of the project to the interns. 2nd - 7th week -Interns will be required to develop marketing strategy of the Codinex School Software and come up with implementable strategies that can take it off the ground to serve the whole world. -Occasionally interns will be asked to move around Mbarara and neighboring districts to try to talk to users of our systems how best we can help them improve their experience with the app. -The interns will be working in teams of two. - AIESEC in MUST will aid the interns during the outreach programs, acting as guides and interpreters where necessary. -Interns will be required to develop marketing strategy of the Codinex School Software and come up with implementable strategies that can take it off the ground to serve the whole world. 8th week Interns will analyze the market margin for it locally and internationally and evaluate its strength the market.

In Uganda, the health sector is one of the Sectors that is most demanding due to the deficit in the number of Doctors that are qualified to handle the continually rising number of health Issues. The number of cases that flood the emergency rooms are usually those that could be prevented. Also, a large percentage of the population is still hesitant when it comes to crucial medical requirements such as Immunization of their children. This project is aimed at spreading awareness about immunization, non communicable and communicable diseases while finding solutions to the immediate causes within the community surrounding the health center.

1st week -The volunteer will initially undergo a training before they set out from the Health Facility Staff. 2nd-5th week -Carry out outreach and sensitization programs that require visiting the locals and sharing knowledge on awareness. -The volunteer is to collect information in the fields of standards of living of the inhabitants. the volunteers will work in a team of five, with people covering three fields of work, i.e. -Entrepreneurship, Medical/Health -AIESEC in Must will keep in constant communication with the volunteers, helping anywhere possible. -The volunteers will also interact with the patients at the hospital and come up with strategies to make the institutions service provision better. 6th week -The volunteer will draft a report at the end of the project
