01. ABOUT US
: Women Architects is a civic association, with an ambition to become a Central European platform for providing support and promoting women architects. : Our main aim is to improve awareness of professionally active women in architecture. The civic association WA was founded by Andrea Klimko, Dana Blaškovičová and Dana Moderdovská in 2013 in Bratislava (SK). : WA was inspired by similar organizations abroad such as Women in architecture, Organization of Women Architects and Design Professionals,...

: supporting architectural activities : promoting slovak and foreign women architects : cooperation and exchanging personal experience : providing support to women architects : raising awareness about professionally active women in architecture
Promoting Slovak architects in the newspaper - Information letters of the Faculty of architecture during the Festival Days of Architecture and Design (DAAD).
Are women less willing to sacrifice their personal lives to the detriment of labor than men? It was one of the three questions on our survey. And the result was 23:1. No, they are not less willing.

Nonprofit organisation WOMEN ARCHITECTS in cooperation with important figures from the Slovak architectural field.
04. HOW TO JOIN
The association consists of regular, honorary and cooperating members. The admission of a member of the civic association is decided by the General Assembly of the civic association, upon receiving a written application.
Becoming a member of the civic association is possible for:
a personal entity older than 18 years
a legal entity
upon agreeing with the association’s objectives and the constitution of the civic association.

LONDON
Exhibition „I am a Woman Architect“ – (invisible) Women Architects in Slovakia was held at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in London.
The exhibition represented a selection of work of five contemporary female Slovak architects.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition Women in Slovak Architecture was held on Hviezdoslav’s square during the Festival Days of Architecture and Design (DAAD).
BRATISLAVA
The curator of the exhibition was an important theoretician and historian in architecture Henrieta Moravčíková.
PREŠOV
The exhibition „I am a Woman Architect“ was held at Creative Design Gallery.
The exhibition presented the work of 10 contemporary slovak architects active on both the domestic and international scene.
The expostion presented the works of selected representatives from the first generation of Slovak architects as well as architects that significantly contribute to current affairs in architecture.
PRAGUE
Civic association WOMEN ARCHITECTS in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture CTU in Prague held the exhibition in Prague in the new building of CTU.
BRNO
The nonprofit organisation WOMEN ARCHITECTS in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture VUT in Brno organized the exhibition Women in Slovak Architecture in Brno.
The exhibition was held at the Gallery MINI on the premises of FA VUT Brno.
