A letter from
OUR FOUNDER
I really enjoy the fall season. This is the time for the thick jumpers and boots to come out of the closet! It is also a great time for bonding. As we start to wind down and prepare for the winter season, I remember why i enjoy having good company. You may find a lot of "girls talk events during this month as we are taking it a bit easier with our members and want to use this time to get to know you all more! If you get a chance, come on over and share your experiences with us! I always feel that as women we can learn a lot from each other, and I am always thankful for the knowledge shared.
Thank you to the amazing magazine staff who continue to do a fantastic job with the magazine, and to the rest of the staff of Sisters in SL who work hard to keep the group going with events! Have a great November! Peace and Love Always,

A MESSAGE FROM YOUR SIS.
FROM THE EDITOR A TIME TO BE THANKFUL This month, our magazine reflects on what it means to be thankful, and to move with gratitude. I'm always astounded by the little things that bring me joy- good food, good company, and the love of my family. I give thanks to our magazine team, and for those who work tirelessly to bring joy to other people across the grid. I walk with gratitude in being able to share creative space with people committed to bringing a smile to another. What are you thankful for? In all lives, try to find those things that bring you joy, and give thanks to them. Whether its a good meal or a good friend, practice showing gratitude in your daily life and watch your abundance flow.
In gratitude,
Soul

IN YOUR DAILY LIFE
SOUL | EDITOR
It's easy to move in gratitude in the season. It's the time of giving, where those who celebrate food holidays move with an open heart to share their delicious bounties. While it's beautiful to embrace the spirit of gratitude during prescribed times of gratefulness, how do you center gratitude in your daily life? Here's a few actionable ways to move with a grateful heart even after the holiday.
Tell them you care Don't wait for the holiday season to tell someone how grateful you are for the little things they do to make your day brighter. For those who have helped you, guided you, or shared a bit of light, express your gratitude in the moment with sincerity. A simple "I appreciate you for doing that" shares the energy of gratitude, and is beautifully infectious.
Pay homage to Gaia There's so much beauty in the change of seasons. As the air becomes crisp and clear, the leaves change to striking colors, and the spirit of renewal is abound, take time to honor the Earth for the changes it goes through in Fall and Winter to produce new life in the Spring. Dig your feet into the grass, take a healing walk, and say thank you to your tree friends for providing you with what's necessary to thrive.
Give thanks to all of you You are amazing, just as you are. Your body performs all types of wonderful things subconsciously to keep you going, but often times goes unrecognized! Focus internally and tell yourself thank you for existing, for sharing light, and for being uniquely you.
A MESSAGE FROM YOUR SIS.

We do not have Thanksgiving in France, but I wish we did! Even so, I am thankful for family, my love, and friends - the love we have around us that we share everyday. It is a very meaningful day to prepare a delicious meal, enjoy it with our beloved ones and spend a special day together. It's important that we recognize the things we have, and treasure the present to make every year count. Take nothing for granted! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

ARE YOU A THANKFUL PERSON? Are you choosing gratitude in your daily life? Consider the following questions: Are you the type of person who dwells on the good or on the bad things that happen to you? Do you tell others about the blessings in your life as much as you tell them when things go wrong? Are you considerate of the people closest to you or do you often take them for granted? Are you thankful only when things are going well or do you look for blessings even when bad things happen? Are you leaving a legacy of thankfulness that others will remember you by?
As these are questions meant for self-reflection, take a moment to consider how to choose thankfulness. Create a gratitude journal and list the things from this quiz that you can change to center gratitude in your day.

Jae's Jambalaya My SL family is what brings me online each day. I'm grateful to celebrate the holiday with them. I count every blessing, because in real life my life is little difficult, but there are folks out there who are worst off. I look forward to the good days, that always outweigh the bad! BeYou is a way for me to be connected to my family- when we're together here in SL, we eat at the table like a real family. I get the vibes of food, family, and happiness which fills a void for me that I couldn't otherwise fill. I love what I do with BeYou- it has a special place in my life. This is my first year celebrating Thanksgiving with BeYou, so we plan to decorate the house with fall colors and patterns, purchase our Thanksgiving color hud to decorate the placemats, and get a big family table for all to sit at. I've also been making a ton of roleplay clothing for BeYou and will have a number of aprons and pants sets for purchase to wear around the kitchen!

You can find my roleplay items here: https://marketplace.s econdlife.com/stores/ 203258
These are separate items to pull together to make a delicious Thanksgiving meal! Shop at one of my favs, Giggity's Market, to get all your dinner supplies. Ingredients: Cubed Bread Crumbs Diced Celery Diced Onions Chicken Broth beYou Water Blk Pepper Seasoning (3)
Ballsbuttered Turkey Poultry Seasoning beYou Butter (3) beYou Salt (3) beYou Milk (2) Boiled Potatoes Brown Sugar Baked Sweet Potatoes Canned Cranberries Canned Turkey Gravy
UPDATES!
Dawnie's Restaurant is planning to have a Thanksgiving Feast, and while I'm not sure if other places are doing a holiday meal, stay tuned to the main BeYou World inworld group for more infomation or announcements! There's an update for the recipes that can be found in the BeYou notices- called the BeYou ingredient updater (beYou Ingredient Updater - 101719). It can be found in the BeYou group notices. Oh! Upstairs at Giggity's Market is a starter place for BeYou- for those who don't have furniture and supplies, feel free to go there to get your stats up! I'll also be starting a farming and cooking class soon- join the BeFriendly Social Group for more info. Finally, I'm planning a YouTube channel that provides how-to tutorials for different aspects of BeYou. Stay tuned for a link or add me on Facebook for live videos.

Embracing Your
Inner Goddess AYLA ZHOY | STAFF WRITER
All women have one thing in common - our Inner Goddess.
She is always with us and lives within each of us. The woman who is in tune with her inner Goddess is aware of her strength, creativity and wisdom. Her nurturing spirit and confidence shine through and she glows with an unmistakable beauty that comes from her feminine energy. Are you in tune with your inner Goddess? When you listen to your body, are you hearing a growling gremlin telling you that your hips are too wide, your butt too big, or your boobs too small? Is there a nagging voice whispering that you aren't smart enough or good enough? Whatever it is, this pesky little demon uses negative self-talk to trip your trigger. She fills you with self-doubt, and before you know it the joy you should be experiencing in life is sucked into a vortex of self-loathing. Kick this critic to the curb and make way for the REAL you! To start the search for your Inner Goddess, detach yourself from the chaos around and within. Find times to center peace. If you can manage a ritual time each day, great. If not, try for a few days a week. Light a candle in the early hours before your household stirs. Take some deep, cleansing breaths and listen to yourself. Think about your hopes and dreams. Depending on your lifestyle, take a nap in the afternoon, listen to some music, or drink a cup of your favorite calming tea in the evening. Irregardless of how you begin, the important thing is to remember this is your time. It is not a race, so find your own pace and focus on the knowing that you are so much more than your physical body. Realize you are everything a woman is supposed to be, and recite this mantra whenever you hear that discouraging voice that is about to pounce and ruin your mojo. There are many books and videos you can use to help you embrace your inner Goddess. There are women's groups, yoga classes, and meditation. If you are fortunate enough to know someone who is connected to her Goddess and is willing to help guide you, by all means seek her advice and wisdom. Women are intuitive, sensitive beings- that is our gift to the world. Take the necessary steps and learn to embrace your inner Goddess to realize a peace that comes from making empowered choices, and walk into a renewed energy that will make life much more beautiful.

"I have lots to be grateful for this year. I'm grateful to all of you in the SiS group for making my SL a better place! In RL, I'm a caregiver for my Mom. I'm grateful for this time with her and, God willing, another Christmas Day at the casino together!"

"I'm thankful for cooler weather, cozy sweaters, crockpot cooking, and Sunday football!" - Khitt
I'm writing this on the day that my country (Canada) celebrates Thanksgiving - October 14th. I am very thankful and proud to be living in this great country. I'm ever so thankful for finally having my dream job, my generous and loving husband, my beautiful trouble-making siblings, and some of the best friends a girl could ask for. My life has had its ups and downs and...well...continues to be challenging to this day, but I'm thankful for the experiences and knowledge I've gained over the years to help me deal with whatever challenge lies ahead. I'm forever grateful for the loves of my life who planted the seed and gave me birth - my mom, dad and God. - Jena
I am thankful and grateful each day for my friends and family and the joy they bring into my life. -Ayla Zhoy
