For my three grandsons: Louis, Gaspard, and Thomas Thank you to little Martin who had so much fun playing with his feet! Thanks to Sonia and Fabrice for styling the bootie photos so beautifully, and to all the team at Le Temps Apprivoisé. Thanks to Bergère de France for the stitch diagrams and for the yarns.

Preface What’s more adorable than a baby’s chubby little feet? What’s more fun than making adorable booties to dress them? Today’s babies are fashionably dressed from day one after their mothers and grandmothers have spent the months leading up to their births knitting little outfits and booties to match. I’m offering a few ideas that you can make as arrival gifts for newborns. Mommies will keep them as precious keepsakes of this tender time. I took a great deal of pleasure in designing and making these little patterns. I hope you’ll have as much fun knitting them. If you’re a beginner, take a few minutes to read the instructions and follow the sketches; you’ll find them helpful for completing the patterns with ease. Yours with lots of patience and a love for yarn!
