30WARM KNITS FOR LAURA ZANDER PHOTOGRAPHY BY BRAD SWONETZ

Stitch Mountain is a collection of 30 gorgeous cold-weather knits inspired by the treasured winter garments and accessories sported by celebrated skiers and snowboarders on and off the slopes. Photographed in the dramatic snowy landscapes of Squaw Valley and Lake Tahoe, these unique projects, designed by leading knitwear designers, include stylish and cozy hats, mittens, scarves, sweaters, and more. Of course, you don’t have to be a competitive athlete, or even a weekend warrior, to knit or wear these designs—anyone who wants to look great while warding off a cold snap will enjoy them! The essays on knitting and winter sports highlight the important connections between them, while the fiber guide and knitting know-how at the back of the book will appeal to knitters at all skill levels. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Stitch Mountain will be donated to the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation to support year-round athlete training, development, competition, and educational needs.
