Chloe Quyên Cramer
for A.S. Director of Academic Affairs Hey Spartans! My name is Chloe Quyên Cramer (pronouns: she/her/hers) and I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for A.S. Director of Academic Affairs. I started working as a Student Assistant in the A.S. Government Department in January 2020. During my time here, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching the past Boards work on improving the Spartan experience. I came to realize that this is something I would love to be a part of, and out of all the committees I’ve sat in on, Academic Affairs struck my interest the most. As your Director of Academic Affairs, I want to be an advocate for you. I believe that there is strength in community, and I would love to continue fostering an environment that embraces inclusivity and allows student voices to be heard. I recognize that there is frustration about the academic experience here at SJSU, and I understand that the pandemic has heightened concerns surrounding accessibility to resources, student-faculty interactions, and current academic policies. If elected, I will commit to addressing these issues and more, by presenting student concerns to the university and working closely with faculty and fellow students to find solutions. While higher education is a privilege, it’s by no means an easy path to navigate. I look forward to a future where I can work with you all in order to create positive change to our academic experience. Your voice matters, and I’m ultimately here to uplift and amplify it!
