Gettin' Hitched - Summer 2019

Anyone who has planned a wedding knows how expensive flowers can be, but we have a trick to help save you some money when it comes to your wedding flowers! Whether you are having a ceremony & reception at the same venue, or having two different venues, reusing flowers is simple and easy! CENTERPIECES— Talk to your florist about placing 6-8 of your centerpieces down the aisle for added color and décor. When the ceremony is over, ask a friend, family or coordinator to then place those aisle flowers on the tables for centerpieces, and use smaller arrangements for cocktail tables and front entrance tables. ARCH OR ALTER ARRANGEMENTS—Depending on your venue, if you are decorating an arch, reuse those flowers for the sweetheart table, cake tables and other areas of the venue.

WORKING WITH WEATHER Whether you’re getting married in the summer, winter or spring, you can incorporate the weather into your wedding décor! For the warmer months, creating your program in the shape of a fan keeps your guests cool while offering them information on the big day. You can also give guests shade by offering parasols that can double as a take home gift. For the cooler or rainy months, items like umbrellas, blankets, or scarfs can double as a favor AND keep your guests warm.

Jenny + Robert 3.31.19 We met Jenny and Robert at our Wedding Show Weekend in 2018, bubbly and energetic, we are so excited they fell in love with Skylinks and booked on the spot for their happily ever after! It was a joy working with them both, our meetings were always so fun and Jenny was so on top of her details. We are sad the planning as come to an end, but forever grateful they are part of our Skylinks family. Congratulations Jenny & Robert!

THE PROPOSAL: We picked out the ring together and I wanted to put the ring as soon as we picked it up but he told me to wait so he can propose to me. We went to the same park where we first started dating and he proposed to me there! - Jenny THE DETAILS: Jenny and Robert thought outside the box when it came to their linens and napkins, choosing two colors and mix and matching tables. Ivory linens were paired with violet napkins, and violet linens were matched with ivory napkins, which gave such depth to the ballroom, Skylinks had never seen such a pretty alternating color combination for a wedding before, and we are still talking about it to date! Their flowers tied in perfectly– all different hues of purples and violets with a little cream. WHY SKYLINKS: I wanted an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception and Skylinks was perfect. It had to Skylinks because Brooke was willing to accommodate to my liking. FAVORITE PART OF THE DAY: Our favorite parts of the ceremony was that is was sunny and bright, it was expected to rain! Our favorite parts of the reception would definitely be that the Bride Mc'ed the latter portion of the reception. I also loved how most of my guests joined us on the dance floor! - Robert
