At the very end of the planning, there can be unexpected costs that come up that ruin a budget- for instance, deciding on favors, candy stations or interactive dessert stations. But why not combine them into one?! There are many ways to combine the love for sweets in an interactive treat for the reception AND to take home! The ever popular candy station has evolved into dessert stations, donut walls, s’more interactive stations and even different kinds of treat walls. The possibilities are endless- but our trick is to combine the sweet portion of your reception as a sweet reminder of your beautiful day!

VENDOR HIGHLIGHT: While the dessert station was super popular in 2018, the traditional wedding cake is making a comeback, but this time couples are going bigger and bolder. Metallic colors dripping down the sides, edgier designs, and topping it off with a statement piece cake topper seals the deal. We love Julia & Mark’s beautiful statement wedding cake!

Julia + Mark 6.22.19 Congratulations Julia & Mark!
THE PROPOSAL: One of my sisters suggested that we try an escape room with the rest of the family while we were up in the Bay Area. Most of my family showed up and as we were going through the puzzles and almost at the end, Mark hands me a paper we opened from a treasure box and specifically asked me to read it out loud. On the paper was a riddle that set up the proposal and then Mark got down and one knee and asked me to marry him. I was totally surprised and caught off guard as well as the rest of my family. I said yes and we eventually escaped the room in the nick of time. With the help of my sister, Mark successfully pulled off the proposal.- Julia THE DETAILS: Julia & Mark blew us away with their attention to detail on everything! The day of we ran into some amazing surprises like their idea to have a PRETZEL wall! They also decked out our patio bushes by bringing in their own white & burgundy roses! WHY SKYLINKS: Skylinks has beautiful views and the setting for the ceremony was absolutely stunning we thought. The venue was perfect for our guest count as we were teetering between 150-175 guests. The wedding package was great as well. Meeting Brooke, the Private Event Director, for our tour definitely made our choice easier as well. Brooke was very energetic and excited to meet us at the initial visit. –Julia FAVORITE PART OF THE DAY: Some highlights from our reception include the bride's family performing a surprise dance to Taylor Swift's Me song, the DJs playing the saxophone and singing to the guests, and then the pretzel wall as you enter the reception hall. –Julia
