Myth # 1: Darker Roasted Coffee Contains More Caffeine – If you order a black coffee at a coffee house or burger joint thinking that it is going to give you that extra buzz, then you are on the wrong track. You should order light roasted coffee to get the intense caffeine hit. It is scientifically proved that the roasting process makes the coffee beans loose the caffeine and the darker the coffee bean is, the lesser caffeine it will carry.
Myth # 2: McDonald’s Egg Patties Come Pre-Formed – Everyone is so curious about the perfect round shape of McDonald’s Egg McMuffin patties. The shape seems like a synthetic ingredient might be used to make it perfect. But the doubt has been cleared through the video leaked by McDonald’s in Canada that showed the whole working of the egg process. They have are using shapers and mold during the cooking which shows their simplicity. In the other products also actual eggs were used.
Myth # 3: White Castle’s Bait And Switch Onions – For those who are unaware about this chain, then you are really missing on some of the good and cheap mouthwatering meals. White Castle’s miniature burgers are famous for being unbelievably cheap and interestingly it might give indigestion for few hours after having them. These burgers are always served with onions and onions have become their trademark item. For some reason people believe that they have switched the onions with cabbage soaked in onion juice. It sounds very strange, why would a restaurant do this. So White Castle has made it clear on their website that their burgers do not contain any cabbage but onions which are rehydrated.
Myth # 4: Salads Are a Healthy Option – It is a doom that salads are healthier alternatives to oily burgers and fries because they are made up of vegetables and fruits. The truth is that salads are assembled with a lot of cheesy and creamy dressing or meats which makes it equally bad as the others options on the menu. It is scientifically proven that same number of calories are found in salads as in other dishes. The most shocking part is that salads carry a lot more sugar and sodium which is the main cause of several diseases. So it is better not to opt for a salad in a restaurant.
Myth # 5: Fast Food Restaurants Are Less Healthy Than Dine-In Restaurants – People opt for dine-in restaurant because they think that these are much healthier options than the local burger joints. Regrettably that is not the truth. The meal’s in these dine-ins carry more
calories than the meal’s from the regular burger junctions. An average meal carries almost fifteen hundred calories which are over the daily calorie limit, pretty discouraging it is. So you should cook the meal yourself in order to have a healthy diet.
