How to fuel up the brain in four easy ways Everyone knows that in order to live a healthy life, you need to have a healthy body. But that is not the only important factor to a healthy life. It is very important to have an active and healthy brain as well. Having an active brain does not mean loading up on caffeine and energy drinks for a temporary boost because it is safe to say that these things are harmful to health. Hence, following are some sure and healthy ways to boost your brain’s potential power.

1. Exercise your brain: Psychologists have always known that the fundamental cognitive skills will always be stable throughout our lives, however, we can always do more with what nature has blessed us with. According to a recent study, our cognitive skills can be improved to quite an extent. The player in this matter is brain training, which promises genuine improvement in our fundamental cognitive skills such as decision-making speed and working memory. Brain training can be done online through a person’s laptop, tablet and/or personal computer by accessing any of the easily available brain exercises. It is often glorified and is seen as a leisure activity rather than a clinical intervention. However, these brain games exercise specific areas of the brain in order to stimulate crucial activity.

2. Speak to children to build their brains The more that you speak as a child, or speak with your child, the more intelligent that child becomes. Hence, if you want your child to be intelligent, speak to the child as much as possible. Simple brain games such as naming objects, solving small verbal problems and doing easy vocal puzzles will help much to make a child intelligent on the very basic level. Secondly, conversing is also a very effective method to increase your vocabulary, knowledge, speaking skills and hence, improve your overall IQ.

3. Physical exercise is must Physical exercise is a great solution to a number of psychological and physiological problems. Exercise is free and has no side-effects. In addition, it increases the blood flow, which in turn improves metabolism and increases the amount of oxygen and glucose that your brain receives. It also helps the growth of neurons (brain cells) and strengthens the connections between your brain cells. Exercise also leads to minimizing inflammation, slow down the self-destruction of cells andhelps grow new blood vessels. A good workout might also awaken the stem cells in your hippocampus (a part of the mid-brain that controls memory).

Many dried fruits also have a similar effect of strengthening the neural function. Many other proteins, fruits, grains and pulses also have a similar impact on the brain. These can cause neurons to produce norepinephrine, dopamine and other hormones that are related to mental alertness.
