Ask yourself these six questions to feel happier Happy living is not dependent on materials. It is merely dependent on the way you perceive life. For example, keeping your focus on what you have and you should be thankful for, instead of thinking over what you should have will help you stay healthy. Similarly, you can stay happy by asking yourself a set of questions given below:

1. Do people love you Ask yourself if you are loved by people. If you have friends and family members that truly care about you then there is no reason to be sad. The quality of your relationships define you. These are also hence, synonymous with the quality of your life. Tip: Make good friends and do not settle for unhealthy or toxic companionships.

2. Do people depend on you If people depend on you, then you must be better off than them. It also means that you are more reliable. Even if you are comparatively pessimistic and have more self-doubt, you are living a better life, which makes people look up to you. Tip: Try your best to not underestimate your worth.

3. Do you have hope Sometimes, a negative question will actually lead you to a positive beginning. Ask yourself if you are completely hopeless. You’ll have a difficult time saying yes. You’ll actually start to think of all the hopes you can hang on to.

4. Have you been in a worse position Think about the times that were worse than you are currently in. You can also think of your journey through life so far and remember all the times that you have had a chance to regain.

5. Think of the things that make you happy. Consider your options. Do you still have a chance to do the things that make you happy? If you do, it’s better to go back to doing them; even if you have to start from zero. Think of all the doors that are still open for you; pick one of them and start another journey. Disappointment is sometimes the gateway to a life much more wonderful. You only need to be persistent and creative to find a new door to a better life.

6. What do you have to be thankful for Think of all the things that you can be thankful for. There are people in the world that are lesser privileged than you. There are still thousands of things that you should be happy and grateful for. Start writing them down if you have to and look at them to ensure that you have a better life than many other people.
