Our white lustrous teeth start throbbing when cold, hot, sugary and even cold wind gets in contact with our teeth. Tooth sensitivity is primarily due to the wear out of the outer protective layers of our teeth, identified as cementum and enamel. Many people believe that using such type of pastes is not effective but it is important to note how one is using it to cure the sensitivity. Generally people use it for a short span and then leave it which increases the likelihood of its reoccurrence. In order to get rid of such pain, individuals needs to make it part of their routine and use it for longer periods, in order to they keep themselves away from sensitivity. Similarly by investing in good toothpaste for tooth sensitivity, one should be extremely careful about the toothbrush he/she is using. It has been suggested that the tooth brush must be soft and not too hard as using hard brush may increase the chances to remove enamel from teeth which increases sensitivity by weakening the natural defense system. Therefore, people who have changed their habit of brushing have themselves find out greater effectiveness in their tooth related issues. Also it is extremely important that what type of beverages and food you are consuming as your eating and drinking habits may affect negatively on our teeth. Enamel remains in constant attack if get exposed to red wine, fruit juices, acidic foods, citrus fruit juices, pickles and other similar items. No matter if your teeth have not started experiencing the feeling of sensitivity but it is better to remain cautious about it and avoid eating food and drinks with acidic properties. Also people should try to avoid grinding their teeth as many do so when they are tensed. By grinding teeth, people are removing protective layers from their teeth which again will increase the chances of feeling sensitivity. Majority of time people grind their teeth while they are sleeping. In this case it is suggested that sleeping positions should be changed. Also tooth guards are available in the market that can be used at night to protect teeth grinding resulting into tooth sensitivity.
