This XL version has all the same features as the fan-favorite, but with an extra-large fit. The aggressive 8-base frames offer unmatched sun protection. They come in two options of color-boosting ChromaPop™ lenses, each with glare-cutting polarization. To prevent these shades from slipping off your face, we included Megol pads and spring hinges. There’s also an integrated leash, so there’s no losing them to the water.

Meredith McCord Nine years, twenty countries, two hundred twenty three confirmed records. The numbers speak for themselves; and it isn’t over. Meredith McCord is unstoppable. She is currently pursuing the billfish slam – catching all seven species of billfish. An honor held by few and even fewer women. And to make it even harder, she’s doing it while fly fishing. “Fly fishing for Marlin is one of the toughest and hardest pursuits in our fly game. This game takes patience, grit, and determination, not for the faint of heart. It is game well worth playing.” Meredith McCord is a professional fly angler, trip host, speaker, humanitarian, and entrepreneur. She has been awarded IGFA’s Top Female Angler of the Year several times and won the Grand Champion of the Ladies Tarpon Fly Tournament in Islamorada, Florida. She is based in Houston Texas, but during any given day you’ll probably find her with bags packed traveling to or hosting fly fishing trips for adventure-seeking anglers of all ages and skill levels. She recently started hosting “Ladies Only” fly fishing trips, and while many came to improve their skills at fly fishing, they left empowered and inspired by their newly acquired skills and independence. Meredith grew up in a fishing family. Both sets of grandparents fished. They passed down the love to her parents, who in turn always took her and her siblings fishing as children, but there was a special click for her. “My dad put a fishing pole in my hand before I can even walk.” She’s been fishing her entire life and the last nine years chasing records, which thrilled her dad. He couldn’t have been prouder. When he was diagnosed with cancer, she made him a promise to him to achieve 100 world records. She smashed that goal…and continues to move forward. Her love for faith, adventure, connection, and nature honors her dad’s legacy of unwavering optimism – and inspires her mission to share it with the world. Nick Stanczyk Captain Nick Stanczyk is obsessed with fishing, swordfishing to be exact. So much so that he wakes up at night screaming about fishing. And he’s no ordinary fisherman – he and the Stanczyk family pioneered daytime swordfishing in the United States, proving that these nocturnal fish can be caught any time of the day. He calls them “gladiators” because they are one of the hardest fighting fish in the ocean and he was once challenger and champion against a 757-lb swordfish off Islamorada, FL. Capt. Nick grew up on and around the water – his family owns and operates the world-famous Bud N Mary’s marina in Islamorada, Fl since 1978. He spent all his childhood free time with a fishing rod in hand – from fishing with friends to mating with his uncle as a teenager. He won many Jr. sailfish and dolphin tournaments growing up and got his captain’s license at age 18. Upon graduating college, he returned home and has been an offshore charter fishing captain ever since. Today, Capt. Nick runs “Broad Minded” an offshore fishing charter out of Bud N’ Mary’s. He takes anglers out to the deep water for all the species the Florida Keys has to offer – sometimes it is for the “easier stuff”, but mostly it is for his specialty - swordfish. The swordfish grounds are anywhere from 25-45 miles from Islamorada in about 1,400 – 1,900 feet of water along the continental shelf. You get there, you drop line, and then you wait. He warns, “fishing for swordfish is boring; but catching them is great”. There is no indication the size of the fish when he hits the bait. It may be 50 lbs or it may be 500 lbs! A lot of the swordfish swim to the surface when hooked, and once they see the daylight the fight begins! The fight can last 15 minutes or go on for hours!
