BRIEF: For COP3 I researched into the creative brain, it is something that I have a great interest in, and something that I feel is imperative to my design work. For this reason I have decided to base my design context publication on creative thought and graphic design, focusing on process and concept. DESIGN CONTEXT

PUBLICATION: As my publication is about the creative thought behind graphic design I felt it was relevant for my publication to be bound in a less than usual way, for that reason I researched into publications that are bound or printed in unique ways. From looking at this it improved my knowledge into book binds which allowed me to create something unique for design context.

PART ONE: My publication is split into three sections that represent the research I have undertaken this year. Part one looks at the process of creative thought in respect to graphic design. It describes researched ways in which you can approach graphic design in a creative way. It is a good tool for when one is starting a brief, or to use as a check list for the design process.

PART TWO: Part two of the publication looks at graphic designers who have approached a brief in a unique way and thus created something that is creative and conceptual. By creating graphic design that holds a creative concept I feel it becomes more engaging and meaningful. This is something that I enjoy researching into and that helps improve my own conceptual thinking.

PART THREE: Part three of the publication is made up of interviews that I have conducted with graphic designers from around the world. The focus of the interviews was to learn about their design process and to gain an insight into opinions on graphic design and creativity. This section of research has been very rewarding to gain an understanding of graphic design in industry.
