BRANDING:
The above are mocked up examples of what I want my Business card to look like. I have used my initials SNKM, as I feel they are more memorable and visual captivating rather then Suzanne Moore which is quite a long name. I have done a range of five Business cards with slightly varying layout of the initials, this adds a bit a versatility to the cards and makes them more collectable. I have decided to use pastel colour as in my design work I tend to use pastel colours very often, so feel this represents my work well. On each of the five cards the back will include a different facts about me, so instead of just being a graphic designer, or a designer, it reads Designer / *fact about me.
The facts would change often to add more variety to the business cards. So far for this range of five the tags are : - Designer / Fry stalker - Designer / Bulldog owner - Designer / Redhead - Designer / Northerner - Designer / Sky watcher
The way the colours will come across on my printed mock ups of the business cards and on this printed out design sheet, will not accurately represent the way the colours will look when I create the cards, as I have used spot colours, which I am going to re-create through screen printing, so the colours will be vibrant and strong, unlike the way they look on the printed mock ups.
CREATIVE CV:
MATCH MADE IN H E A V E N.
The above is the mock up of how my creative CV will look. I often sit and marvel over how amazing creativity is and how it always appears in your head like a spark. It’s exciting but also terrifying because you never know when it is going to strike, and what happens if that creative spark doesn’t come, is often something I think about but, it always does come. So the concept I have gone for is creative sparks. This will represent my creativity and how I always try and come up with strong innovative concepts. The creative CV would be printed on a box of matches, which when struck light with a spark. On the front of the box will be one of the logos, and on the back would be all my details for my CV.
To add a touch of humour there will also be a cheesy saying centred around the content of the box, but also relating to the relationship between me and the studio I am contacting such as the above example, ‘Match made in heaven’ Hopefully this would be taken in the jokey way I intend and not make me seem like a massive cheese ball.
The boxes will be screen printed using the same colours as what were used for the business cards so that there is a unity to the products. I have also thought about how this concept could be developed and have thought about other items that cause sparks, such as flint stones and wires. So I will also produce box’s with these items in, to maintain the varying aspects of my branding. Inside the match box would also be a business card and a publication displaying my work.
WORK SHOWCASE:
Booklet that would come with the creative CV. This booklet will be on the small side, so that it will fit with the match box (which will be a large style box not the tiny ones), so the work will not be shown at full detail, but hopefully it will entice the person I have contacted to look at my work further by going on my website for example. By having this showcase of my work, it will show the studio what I am all about as a designer, it will highlight where I am at right now, and also what areas of design I am interested in.
WEBSITE:
This is how I want my website to look. I want it to be really simple and easy to navigate, as this will ensure people stay on my page and look through my work. So that there is no messing about trying to find work, I have put all my work on the home page, so that it is there to see and look through straight away. Each project will have a gallery slide effect, showcasing more pictures of the project and also an Info button which will give the viewer more information about the project if they wish to find out more. The website will have four pages but only two of those pages will need coding by me as the ‘Shop’ will be as well as the more page which will be a blog.
