學了許多單字例句，要用的時候偏偏就是不知 道該怎麼表達，這是因為我們沒有從生活情境中自 然而然學英語的緣故，以致於學了這麼多年的英 語，在國外的速食餐廳點餐時，被問到 For here or to go? 的時候不知道要怎麼回答，到髮廊去剪頭髮，卻 不曉得「請幫我修一下瀏海」這樣的日常英文要怎 麼說。由於我們學英文時習慣先從單字例句開始學 起，接著再閱讀文章內容，這樣的學習方式雖然能 學會單字和例句的正確用法，卻無法應付生活周遭 會遇到的各種狀況，使得英語學習侷限在文章內容 中，無法成為活用的語言工具。
