KNITTED MEASUREMENTS Approximately 33"/84cm long x 3"/8cm wide GAUGE In Rib/Cable stitch, 29 sts and 21 rows = 4"/10cm In Stockinette stitch, 18 sts and 23 rows = 4”/10cm SPECIAL TERMS Cable stitch (CS): Pass RH ndl in front, k 3rd and 4th sts keeping them on the ndl, k 1st and 2nd sts, slipping all 4 sts to RH ndl. Rib/Cable stitch (R/CS) Row 1 (RS): *K2, p1, k2, p1, k2*, p1, k4, p1; rep bet *’s to end. Row 2(WS): *P2, k1, p2, k1, p2*, k1, p4, k1; rep bet *’s to end. Work left side: Rows 5-11: Work on last 4 sts only, k the k sts and p the p sts as they face you for 7 rows. Break off yarn and slip these 4 sts on holder. Row 7 (WS): Same as Row 5. Row 8 (RS): P1, k1, p2, k1, p1. Rows 9-11: Rep Rows 5-7once more. Break off yarn and put these 6 sts on holder. Work right side: Put the rem 4 sts on ndl and work as for 4 left side sts of slit. Put all sts on ndl and work 2 rows as follows: Row 12 (RS): K1, p1, k1, p1, k1, p1, pass the RH ndl in front and k second st then k first st, p1, k1, p1, k1, p1, k1.
