20018 RADUUATE HIGHHLIGHTS GRADU Roaring Fork High School students have bee en honored for their academic achievements in the classroom as well as their authentic accomplishments in n their Capstone projects and extracurricular activities. Members of o the class of 2018 have worrked to see the school become 100% solar-powered, have been undefeated in the Battle of the Walls Art Show, have been the State Champions for the Solar Rollers two years in a row as well as travelled across the nation and across the globe with Model UN and World Travelers. Students have been accepted to major universities throughout the United States and have been awarded millions of dollars in institutional and local Roaring Fork Valley scholarship awards. • Members of the class of 2018 ENERGY CLUB contributed to make the school 100% solar powered. • Student artists curated and won the BA ATTLE OF THE WALL ART SHOW. • Competed and became state champions of solar rollers. • Student delegates have attended the MODEL UN CONFERENCE in New Y York ork City 4 years in row • Students have received hundreds and thousands in scholarships and been accepted to many colleges and universities across the nation. JUSTIN THOMPSON, a 2nd team all state basketball player, was named co-player of the year Western Slope league for 3A. He was awarded the Brenda Patch Memorial scholarship and will attend Metro State University in Denver and study pre-physical therapy.

CAL BRANIGAN was elec cted to the all-state choir. He will attend pursuing a Colorado Film school, Fast Forward for technical degrees, e dual major for directing and d acting. He is a recipient of a music scholarship from the Aspen com mmunity. CHELSEY SERRANO, class valedictorian, is an outstanding student. She is the founder of the girls’ summit and activities coordinator for the energy club. She plans to study computer scie ence at Brown University and is a recipient of the John Gould Scholarship larship, Rotary Scholarship and Booster Club Scholarship. VANESSA MONTOYA received the DREAMERS as well as three local scholarships. ZOE HANLON will attend Kenyon College where she s will study creative writing. She is a recipient of the Rotary Scholarship arship. RALPH GOOD, captain of the Solar Roller Team won sta t tes twice and nationals once. He has been an outstanding student every year, and will attend Wake Forest University in North Carolin na pursuing a degree in engineering. He is a receipient of the Porter Byrum Scholarship for Leadership. ANDREW BROADHURST is a state qualifier three yea ars in a row for golf and all-conference for baseball. He will work at R& &A Electric. JESSE MA ATTICS is a state qualifier for swimming for the last three years in 50 free and 100 free and was top 20 in the sta ate of Arizona, He will be joining the marines and studying aerospac ce engineering while on active duty.
