Dedication: Wick Moses

Written by Amy Kimberly

Dedicated to Uncle Wicked!

He played in the first band to play Mountain Fair. He owned the first, and maybe only, record store on Main Street. He helped start KDNK Community Radio. He loved cats and kitties, CRMS and Carbondale. There was only one Wick Moses in this town and we have so much to thank him for. He volunteered for Mountain Fair every year and always let us know when the sound was not right. He made us laugh with his humor, sometimes ill humor, and his Wickisms such as: “So Many Escapes - So Little Time!”, “Annoyed in Carbondale”, “HASTA

LA PASTA, BABY!”, “Cars Suck” and “Favorite Cat Daddy”. Wick moved on this year from the place he loved. Crossed over as they say, but his spirit in this community remains strong. Especially at the fair. So wear a smile for Wick cause he’s smiling right back at us.
