Education News
Self Managed Learning at SML College SML College prepares young people for the tests of life, not a life of tests. They have been providing Self Managed Learning programmes for young people aged 9-17 in Sussex for 19 years. This vibrant learning community of 40 students offers a real alternative to schooling - students develop the confidence and skills needed for their futures in a stimulating and nurturing environment. Students set their own learning goals and there are no limits to what they can study, or how they should study, and no subjects they have to learn. Whatever they want to learn, a way is found for them to do so. Students are supported by Learning Advisers who help them structure their learning and support them to achieve what they want. Students feel well prepared to take the next steps in their careers when they leave. Results for all abilities have been exceptional as demonstrated by independent research.
