The South Coast is alive with music, colour and celebrations this month. Early in the month (7 - 9 March), Kiama and the surrounding area will play host to the annual Kiama Jazz and Blues Festival with around 60 gigs in 30 venues, and all FREE! Throughout the month there is quality live entertainment from Shellharbour’s Roo Theatre, Nowra Players, Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre, Milton Theatre and many of the region’s clubs. For the ladies and sports lovers alike, don’t miss the Hats & High Tea Race Day as part of Shoalhaven City Turf Club’s Autumn Racing Carnival on 16 March. And there remains plenty to do; from discovering your inner nature lover amongst the treetops at the Illawarra Fly or taking a slightly more daring
journey in the trees at Nowra's Trees Adventure Park. If action is more your thing then maybe some water thrill rides at Jamberoo Action Park or a joy flight over the South Coast and beyond with NSW Air will take your fancy. For those seeking slightly quieter pursuits, the South Coast’s many museums and galleries are staging some fantastic displays and exhibitions, including the Galamban Exhibition at the Lady Denman Maritime Museum. There are also some very attractive packages for weekends away quality hotels and motels along with plenty of options for enjoying quality fresh food and fine dining. See you around the South Coast.

Ulladulla, Milton, Mollymook and Coastal Villages Ulladulla Harbour is the home port of the largest commercial fishing fleet on the NSW South Coast. The town has modern shopping and several fine clubs as well as a leisure centre, cinema complex and the famous Funland. There are some great places to surf, snorkel and dive in nearby Mollymook. Milton is classified by the ‘National Trust’ and has a myriad of wonderful B&Bs, as well as boutiques and shops to browse. The coastal villages of Bendalong and Manyana, are set amongst a beautiful backdrop of bush and beach. Lake Conjola is a deep coastal lake which provides a wonderful playground for fishers and boaters. Just south of Ulladulla is Burrill Lake, where you will find a perfect setting for boating, sailing, windsurfing, prawning (in season), snorkelling or surfing.
Lake Tabourie Located about 10 km south of Ulladulla this lake is fairly shallow and suitable for low-draft vessels, kayaks and canoes. It is also a haven for birdlife and there are a number of excellent beaches on the adjoining coastline.
Bawley Point Visitors to Bawley Point can expect to find tranquil lagoons, beaches and headlands where the local delicacy is prawns. A large amount of the surrounding area has been reserved as a wildlife sanctuary.
Durras A beautiful spot to stop and kayak or spend a few nights. Boasting several stunning beaches. Stay in a tent, caravan or cabin and enjoy everything Murramarang National Park has to offer: walking, swimming and fishing.
What to See & Do ■ Take a trip to Bendalong - not too far north from Ulladulla. ■ Explore the Coomee Nulunga Cultural Trail, created by the local Aboriginal Land Council. ■ Walk across from Lake Tabourie to tranquil Crampton Island at low tide. ■ Enjoy swimming, surfing or fishing at one of the many beaches. ■ Go boating, kayaking, canoeing or fishing on one of the many lakes. ■ Climb to the top of nearby Pigeon House Mountain. ■ Visit Funland Ulladulla to enjoy three floors of games and rides.
