Around the association, we’ve had some great news that the council has approved the build, and a timetable for its completion is set for Quarter 4, 2022. This is huge for the association and all its members. Craig Weir – CEO

2 SABRES DOUBLE HEADERS – NBL1 Sunday 23rd May 2021
Nic Gabsch was again an offensive weapon finishing with 28 points on 6/12 from deep. We continued to see some solid guard play from Kobe Davies. And our new starting centre James McKinnon with a solid 16, 4 and 4. This afternoon, we welcome the Hobart Charges. The Charges come off a 10-point win against the Eagles. They find themselves in a similar position as the Sabres with a smaller more dynamic depth chart, and a high paced, spread you out style of play. They are led by high-scoring import Jonathan Mines (who had 32 points last week).
The Sabres will have to replicate the same intensity they showed against the Wildcats if they are to topple a wellcoached Chargers. Important reminder from all of the staff and athletes; thank you! Without you the fans, we can’t do this. The atmosphere in the Sabredome continues to reach new levels! Please remember, our doors are always open. We look forward to seeing you all this season. COMING UP – SABRES AT HOME
SABRES v CHARGERS
L
ast Sunday we witnessed our Sabres continue to improve and demonstrate to the league we are getting closer to toppling some talented teams. Last week’s the team took a tough defeat from the Eltham Wildcats by 14 points, after being up by 16 points at one stage, and only down 2 with four minutes to play. As heartbreaking as this was, we know it was a step in the right direction.
