Aging isn’t what it used to be. Every day I am inspired with images of women who are embracing their next stage in life. Platforms such as Instagram have given women ‘of a certain age’ a place to showcase that life and style after age 50 can still be fun, full and vibrant. Building a functional wardrobe that works with your current lifestyle is the way to go and versatility is a must. It’s important to have pieces that can be reworked and paired in multiple ways to keep you from getting into a style rut. Use simple, classic, quality pieces as your foundation and then expand with a few pieces seasonally or incorporate a current trend that really captures you. A STRIPED SHIRT I read somewhere that stripes are a staple in every chic woman’s wardrobe and I couldn’t agree more. French women are renowned for being chic and stylish, often pictured wearing - yup you guessed it - a striped shirt!

Black A-Line Skirt Knee length or just below works best. It’s flattering for everyone and can be worn almost everywhere. Pair it with flats for a daytime look and heels for an evening cocktail party.
