The Department of Architecture curriculum is composed in such a way that students become able to perceive architecture in a multifaceted fashion, explore their personal aptitudes, and study a broad range of areas. Small-sized classes and lectures —as well as individualized, detailed guidance— are conducted in this architectural design curriculum that places importance on individuality and creativity.
The Department of Urban Environment Systems is composed of four areas: Urban Environment Planning, Urban Infrastructure Planning, Urban Information Network Systems, and Fundamental Systems for Urban Environment. It regards urban environments as comprehensive systems, and develops experts who can make extensive contributions to society and create 21st century urban environments where people and the environment coexist.

The divisions and courses in the Department of Design Science have deep connections with the culture of everyday life. Education and research is conducted to advocate for design that is backed by science and over-flows with artistic and human qualities. Pioneering design research that is suitable for the current era is conducted based on the three educational and research areas of Production Systems, Information Communication, and Environmental Humanomics. This department serves
Machine technology is the foundation for all industries, from aerospace to the items that are used in everyday life. In order to develop mechanical engineering technicians that can respond to various challenges, the Department of Mechanical Engineering places importance on fundamental courses related to machine technology and manufacturing. Its aim is to cultivate students, starting from the ground up, who have the ability to discover problems, perform analyses, and utilize creativity to resolve issues.

INFORMATICS AND IMAGING SYSTEMS
Much recent technological progress, especially in the field of electronics, was achieved by controlling material properties on an increasingly smaller length scale. At the nanometer scale, where the macroscopic and atomic worlds meet, new forms of matter with unprecedented properties can be created. To understand and manipulate them is the aim of nanoscience and nanotechnology which requires advanced knowledge and integrated experience in physics, physical chemistry and device
We develop new chemistry processes in order to preserve the global environment and vcontribute to the welfare of humankind. In addition, we explore new methods for humans to coexist with other living creatures via the creation of new substances that transcend bimolecular functions. From this viewpoint, our aim is to cultivate human resources that will be responsible for the development of new chemical substances and processes.
Key topics in the advanced engineering fields of today include nanotechnology and information. The Department of Image and Materials Science in the Division of Information Sciences covers the educational and research domains of materials, devices, and image evaluation in the field of image science—a field that works to visualize information. It trains graduates who will be able to develop the image science of the future and are capable of meeting the needs of an advanced information-oriented
In the Intelligent Information Course in the Department of Informatics and Imaging Systems, students are able to master cutting-edge scholarship in fundamental areas that teach information in a mathematical way, as well as a broad range of information engineering-related areas including smart image information processing, human interfaces, hardware, software ,and telecommunications.
