Historical Contributions

Black Women have a long and rich history of political engagement. From the civil rights movement to the fight for women's suffrage, Black Women have been at the forefront of social and political movements, advocating for our rights and the rights of others. Figures like Shirley Chisholm, the first African American woman elected to the U.S. Congress, and Fannie Lou Hamer, a prominent civil rights activist, have paved the way for future generations of Black Women in politics.

EMPOWERING MOMS How to Talk to Teens About Financial Literacy As parents, we play a critical role in shaping our children's financial behaviors and beliefs. As our teenagers begin to navigate the complexities of the real world, it's important to have open and honest conversations with them about financial literacy.
