Lodge 30, Taiton Youth Club reports at July meeting

Lodge 49, Rowena youth shares summer activities

SPJST Lodge 30, Taiton met on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Taiton Community Center. The meeting was called to order by Vice President Grant Bubela. Grady Lange led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and short prayer. Grady made a motion to read the minutes of the last meeting at the August meeting because our secretary was absent. Bethany Baker seconded the motion. Mrs. Bubela then discussed old business and thanked everyone who came to the spring meeting and participated in the rock contest. Our Lodge 30 LITs gave us a little review of their time at LIT camp. Mrs Bubela then went over upcoming dates, camp session 2 information, and State YAD on July 31. We then adjourned the meeting.

Dear SPJST, We continue to wake up early and do morning workouts for football. I then go to my nanny’s and grandpa’s to work in the fields. My summer is going by really fast, and school will be starting soon. We went to Colorado for vacation, and in a few weeks, we will have a reunion where I will see all my cousins. Tanner Wood, age 16 —SPJST—

Lodge 49, Rowena youth catches fish with minnow Dear SPJST, I got this red container that I turned into a minnow trough. I went with my dad to our tanks to go through the minnow sane, and we caught lots of perch and even a small bass. I put a pump in the trough so hopefully none of them will die. Cotton Wood, age 10 —SPJST—

Lodge 49, Rowena youth vacations in Colorado Dear SPJST, We had a really good vacation in Colorado. We took our Polaris Ranger and went up in the mountains. It was really neat. We even saw snow and got to play in the snow. Up on one of the mountains were several head of cattle. Hunter Wood, age 15 —SPJST—

Dear Readers, The youth of Lodge 84, Dallas met on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at the lake house of President Justine Yeager. We got together for the annual summer lodge picnic. We were invited to join the members of our mother lodge as President Yeager brought the meeting to order at 2:40 p.m. It was very interesting to watch the adults as they conducted their meeting and all the things they discussed and planned for the lodge activities. Youth Leader Lynda Novak gave her report, welcoming us for attending the adult meeting, congratulating us for getting our Youth Achievement Day (YAD) projects completed and submitted on time. She thanked us for continuing to submit our Vestnik projects monthly as well as keeping up with each other via Zoom. She said the State Youth Achievement Day was going to be held live on Saturday, July 31 in Temple. Lynda would keep us posted about times. After that, we were dismissed to go back and continue with our fun day at the lake. But before that, she reminded us to not forget about the spaghetti meal and bingo gathering on Sunday, August 22 from 11 a.m. to ? at Sokol Dallas. More details are listed on page ___. We hope to see you there! Fraternally, Josh Tucker, age 12 —SPJST—
